Stop crying like a baby, stand up, shake the dust off, and do something; anything. Right now you are letting your emotions dictate decisions and focus. This is guaranteed to wreak havoc on you. You've done NOTHING but focus on the problem. As long as you do that, nothing will change. If you truly can trade, and it's that important to you, sell your car, beg on a street corner after hours, move to a cheaper apartment, convince someone who has a couple of bucks. BTW- if you can't show someone your plan, in writing, indicating what you do, why it works, and how you intend to conserve capital and get some money; you're probably not as good as you think. I was in exactly your position a year ago. If I had continued to focus on the problem, I'd still be where you are. Instead, I'm happily trading with a decent sized account. I'm being bloody harsh, because, frankly, that's what you need.
bundlemaker, Good point. Focusing on solution, but none. The problem is that I don't trust any brokerage with 25K.
If no one focus the problem and let those bastards be satisfied, they are going to raise the bar again. Eventually, it will be impossible for more people to day trade. And more people are going to blow up in towers.
And you don't try to convince me to open an account with more than 25K. I am not going to do that. I will eventually figure out a way to day trade like before with must less than 25K. No future, no SSF, I know I am going to blow up easily in those markets.
Open multiple accounts at some broker (use other family member/spouse names). Repeat at other brokers. But of course by the time you've opened 5 or so accounts you're probably at $25k anyways....
Nobody is stupid? Yes, there are. IMO, it is those who are not even know they are in danger one way or another, for instance, metooxx. I am not saying you are for sure. But that is my impression.
