Thinkorswim vs. Tradestation? I'm just looking to see what each offer, based on trader experiences, and I"ll make my decision based on that. Thanks for your help!
This is a little like asking whether Wendy's is better than Red Lobster. Depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for the best options analytics out there, and customer service not to be beat, ToS is a no-brainer. If you're looking to program/backtest directional strategies, TradeStation is your choice.
Until TOS rolls-out a mature version of ThinkScript, there is no comparison. TOS is reliable, but for auto-trading, or semi-auto trading, Tradestation is still the king....by a long shot. TOS promises a update by July, but their scripting language has languished for almost a year, so I wouldn't count on it.
Thinkscript: similar to Tradestation Easy Language. Allows building of custom indicators. Ultimately will permit auto-trading of stocks, options, and futures. https://www.thinkorswim.com/tos/thinkScriptHelp.jsp?laf=bright
