His points are only valid in his circles, where some clowns stand in circles, hold onto their wine glasses (strictly white only), talk about the ills of the world and how trashy Oahu is, make gay hand movements and after that they all have group sex to celebrate their elitist life style. Goodness.
The points i was referring to were strictly that it opens doors and introduces u to people, thats it Of course doesnt mean u cant meet up people else where Mbas control the world Joke of the year Mbas control the world Perhaps firm believers should get 2 or 3 of em to control even more Mbas control the world, Two of my assitants have mbas and way farther education than me yet they work for me (a trader) Mbas control the world Mbas control the world I once again want to apolgize for calling u a clown personally sig as i know conversations are not truly indicative of the entire person character but saying mbas control the world, thats notoriously amuzing and funny; i e; production of clowns
Dude, chill the f out. It's called sarcasm. I was quoting volpunter there with is crackpot ideas about "the establishment" controlling the world. If you read any of my posts you'd realize that I believe nothing of the sort. If you'd read this post you'd certainly recognize Zzzz1's quotes and would have seen my empassioned defense of knowledge for its own sake vice money and power. The part about Mongolia should have given it away if nothing else. Seriously people!
Lol. "dude chill the F out". That is the oxymoron of the year. Only one person here is not chilled out. Have another of that white wine to ease up.
OK, apparently I'm now gay, Jewish, and sit around on my yacht all day wearing my school colors plotting world domination. Thanks for enlightening me, I thought my real life was far more boring. Can you throw a couple more biggotted remarks in there volpunter, so you'll be banned again? You really need to settle down now, you're starting to become unhinged and bad things happen to you when you lose it like this. Really, you're taking this whole thing way to seriously.
You are horrible at drawing conclusions. You should read more carefully, Sig. I never called you a Jew (by the way is that a bad thing to call someone a Jew?) nor did I say you are gay. I am pretty convinced now you do not work in finance in any professional capacity. Ha, "dude chill the F out"? Who is unhinged here and takes his presumed intellect so seriously? Case closed. Mate, I would love to chat more with you but work is calling early tomorrow. Let's agree to disagree on your fabulous education. Good night.
Sig i thought u were being serious, now that i know your not I apolgize, the level of comments was so intellectual and stiff i couslnt realize its a joke, once again my apologiezs And i wish the two of you the best, iam on neither persons side As always lets keep on time productive and educational
I'm going to share something with you, then I'm going to put you on ignore because it's really not fair to get you so riled up like this. What I'm going to share is my background, just to demonstrate to you how truly awful you are at judging others. I come from a decidedly lower middle class background, I worked picking and processing fruit during the summer in high school to earn my spending money. I attended one of the service academies, majored in electrical engineering, and went on to become a military pilot. I earned $24,000 my first year out of college; during the 3 years I lived in Oahu I was stationed there living on O-3 pay. Because the military moves you every 2 or 3 years, I've lived in dozens of places and been fortunate enough to experience a lot, but always from a pretty modest financial standpoint given that my sole source of income was my military pay. After completing my obligated service and 12+ years of active duty, I switched to the Reserves and have since retired. I attended an MBA program which I found to be a tremendously mind-opening experience that I value mainly for that rather than for any job it got me; mainly because it didn't get me a job per se. After my MBA I started my first company in the fin-tech space, which I had a successful exit from after several years. I'm currently on my second company, which is also doing well. I taught myself how to program and built much of the initial software platform for my current company, which has a major SAAS component, and became an expert in both industries on my own. I don't own a yacht, nor do I think do any of my MBA classmates, and I think the only piece of alma mater clothing I own is a ratty old hat I use when I go running that they gave me when I got there. As you'll notice, I'm pretty sure I never even mentioned the name of the school in this thread and have really only obliquely referenced it in any thread on ET. I drive a 2005 car with 150,000 miles on it. I'm neither Jewish or gay, but if I was born either I'd be proud of it. I don't especially like white wine, I'm more into reds and craft beers, but I can be convinced to drink a good chardonnay. I know that blows apart your carefully crafted fantasy of me as some kind of rich, establishment prick who needs outside validation and reassurances to succeed and engages in gay had movements followed by group sex. Sorry.
you misspelled, actually I guessed almost right about everything: * you came from lower means and attained an MBA to justify your standing in society, the MBA nameplate serving as your "proof" of intellect. Nothing wrong with that at all. * You got an MBA because you "retired" and needed a career change (12 years in the job in most industries and retiring will usually raise tons of eye brows, but hey, its the military, you served your country, whether for lack of better opportunities or because of your patriotic mindset only you know) * You were stationed in Oahu, exactly what I guessed * So you never worked ever in a commercial capacity or at a corporate * Why can't you name the school you attended? It is a top secret school? You will blush if you let others know what awesome school you attended? Or the school has a way lower reputation than you make us believe? Why not able to name your school? * Who cares what car you drive? And nobody ever accused you of being gay or Jewish, lol. Nothing blows my mind about you, I am entirely uninspired. Should I be? I just think what you describes 100% describes the reason I stated most attend MBA. Dead end career (=retirement) or need a career change. Attending school in order to polish your reputation/standing in society or even your self worth. Nothing wrong with the above. We should indeed be proud of our accomplishments. If we have worked our butts, day and night, were tortured by our professors, have undergone gruesome amounts of work to attain a degree and have really pushed our boundaries then we should be proud of that achievement. Is that describing your MBA? It perfectly describes my MSCF program. And I am proud of the achievement. Do I dream up stories about the glorious times during college/grad school? No, I stated how it was: Transactional, you pay for and you get in exchange. Maybe you had a lot of free time in your MBA program to contemplate the meaning of life. I did not, most in our program were even part time students who worked their ass off at ibanks during day time in Manhattan and attended school in the evenings. Maybe the way I write does not sit right with most. But what I write comes from the heart and burns on my mind. People should consider very carefully whether the degree they are getting in exchange for 150,000 USD and 2 years of their life is truly worth it. For you it bought a lot of different things so it should have been worth it. Education is changing and the way we receive it is changing too. If universities do not want to adjust then they will be made obsolete or it will remain a place for the fringes of society. Already the brightest in society skip college and even grad school altogether. The baton soon will move to the middle class simply because college education has become un-affordable to a large section of society.
