Here is a quote I have from myself to you.

"You will NEVER get rest, unless you back test"

Forward testing with real money is for fools. Why would I would forward test a trading method for X months/days/weeks with real money, when I can back test a trading method in X minutes/seconds for free.

Think about this for a few minutes as it relates to manual trading vs algo trading.

 

Just DO it.



*sighs* Anything that worked in the past is no guarantee that it will work in the future. You will spend your ENTIRE LIFE backtesting, but never implementing.

Just GO, dude. Figure out what the market does MOST OF THE TIME, and follow THAT.

Forwarding testing without back testing first, is called "Getting Fooled By Randomness".

Work smarter not harder my friend.

 

That is not what I see in this thread. He is still backtesting.

Of course I am still back testing, what the heck else should I be doing? 1 or 2 algos is not enough. I want the holy grail. lol

 

Life is all about finding a delicate, ideal, balance,

SimpleMeLike will still be here on ET in 2032 talking about the same things.
Overnight is maybe too gung ho with trading, and he prefers to Just Do It...while suffering some losses, maybe many losses.
