Basically, the mindset and approach that Andrew Carnegie, who knew nothing about the steel industry, used to become the greatest steel industry mogul ever, with no background in steel. It laid out a road map of how the "every man" can organize himself to the same approach for his own goals, to become more efficient and cut out wasted effort in his process, to achieve his own unique goals, without reliance on government, which at the time (in the midst of the Great Depression) was not what the government wanted. This is why the book was "controversial" and got heavily edited due to pressure from above (gov't), because it focused on freeing the individual, not making him conform to a system of dependency. However, if you think simply reading my "summary" will give you all the insight you need in my brief "cliff note," it won't. I'm not that good. To get the benefit, you actually will need to do the work, locate a copy of the original and read, as the details of cause and effect are in the book, not my humble summary. Benefit requires effort, either you'll do the work to receive it or you won't. Happy trading!

Well done, easymon1 - - you're one of the real originals - - good man - - you led them to the well, now it's up to them to drink. Good job.
With the same name there is a book as well and depicts the same. What your mind thinks and how it thinks you become exactly like that.
If you go back in this thread, you will see there was a lengthy and in-depth discussion about the Napolean Hill book "Think And Grow Rich" including why it was controversial when it was published, why a large portion of the book was edited out, and how to locate the original version of the book and why. It's all in this thread, directly above your post. In fact, the post directly above yours has the link to the original version of the book.
It was his publisher not the govt that did the edit. They thought that the idea (edited) was too radical for it's time and that it would hurt sales. Jerry Hicks has a good breakdown.
As a Man Thinketh by James Allen The Secret of Knowingly Work with God by Walter Russell anything by Abraham-Hicks Publications and The Prophet by Kahil Gibran are all in a similar vein and take a different approach to the same subject matter.
