And we did not have... Well, I guess we did in a way with Greenspan. Anyways, when the money starts flowing back into the market, the randomness will subside, and the bulls will slowly push the markets back up.
Overnight is right. For you algo traders.....all your decades of backtests and forward tests are completely random bits of data. You may think you are making a difference and have a certain edge, But in the end....it's all Just One Lucky Crapshoot Game of trying to be slightly profitable in the end.
So WHAT?!? What they really do is forward test by deploying their money in the markets. That's how they make money. Yes? Or do you disagree? Do you subscribe to the the idea that only backtesting makes money? Seriously, WTF dude, why are you arguing for backtesting?
Hello Millionaire, you are 100% right. Jim Simmons and his team sure not over there guessing, forward testing.lol
It is called research. Easily testing your new ideas to see if they are valid or no better than random.
Yeah thats why so many Billion dollar hedge funds do it. Its all POINTLESS, they are just wasting time doing it.
LOL HAHAHAHAHAHHA yeah, @Millionaire all these hedge funds just take a good guess man. They not back testing anything. Jim Simmon and his team just guessing.
Being a "billion dollar hedge fund" means a billion AUM. Does it mean they profit a billion dollars a year? No. People like to throw out that stupid phrase often. As if "billions" means a fucking thing. What is the RETURN on the billions? 10 percent? 1 percent? -50 percent? It is all relative.
