Yer damned right it will work! And that is why electric cars will not. I bet there are many unhappy Tesla/Volt/etc. owners all around California right now who have no means of transportation to get the hell out of there if a major wildfire DOES break out in their neighborhood. Because the shit used to power their cars (electricity), which comes from fossil fuels, is what is causing them to become stranded because they refuse to use fossil fuels, because it is too dangerous to transmit the electricity to them. Dead organisms for teh win!
So basically, when you rush home in your electric car while at work, after hearing that your house is in danger of burning to the ground, and arrive at home with a mile left on your battery, you will be fine because you have a portable generator there to charge up your car for a few hours, just minutes before the flames lick onto your roof and starting burning your life away. Electric cars are the FUTURE!
@vanzandt I was going to post one more bit about how to get people off of electric cars...It had something to do with locking folks into a room and forcing them to listen to the Kars for Kids commercial for hours on end in a loop... But then something very unnerving came up and distracted me. This is that same commercial backwards... Vaz, I think we've found a secret comminique between the US, and Russia or the Ukraine. How uncanny is it that that commercial backwards might contain secret messages in Russian? I bet the KGB or GRU used to do this sort of thing back in the day. Should we inform the White House? Did Putin bury Paul?
Ummmm..... you're drifting here. We were talking about rolling blackouts... there are no fires (yet in this example) because that's what the rolling blackouts are for.
Wow, right on cue. These losers are so predictable. California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday he’s “outraged” over Pacific Gas and Electric Co shut-offs, blaming decades of mismanagement at the utility. He made the comments Wednesday morning, several hours after millions of Californians woke up without power amid massive blackouts that have stranded huge swaths of the state without electricity. Given the potential danger posed by the utility’s power lines, Newsom said the blackouts are needed to keep people safe as powerful winds sweep through the state. “I’m outraged because it didn’t have to happen,” Newsom told reporters at a news conference in San Diego. “They’re in bankruptcy due to their terrible management going back decades. They’ve created these conditions, it was unnecessary.” Read more here: https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article235959502.html#storylink=cpy
