They sure hate daytraders, don't they?

  1. I've been on both sides. I was a market maker for 8 years and I became a prop trader about 6 months ago . Let mre tell you that daytrading is much harder, you need to work harder and be smarter than mm's. MM's have retail orderflow in front of them to tell them where the stock is going you can be lazy and nonintuitive and still make money.Daytraders must look for other ways to get direction which in the long run makes you a much better trader.

  2. About as clever as Cramer. He was a daytrader. according to thh guy who worked for him. 90% of his trades were daytrades.

    Right, in Crammers book he says he daytrades when there aren't big moves expected.
    It makes me feel good hearing that he appears worried about daytraders- we must be winning more than I thought.
