There is "transitory" that was expected/hoped-for to be "transitorying" before the midterm elections. And then there is "transitorying" that occurs after the midterm elections. Which one you think matters to the demtards? I thought I was being a flexible giver by agreeing with dem Larry Summers way back. But no, the dems were so set in their political goals that they were blinded and threw Larry under the bus, when he was just trying to help you demtards to break out of your trance-state.
The problem is Larry Summers is wrong. The Fed is following his prescription and inflation is still sticking around. Why? Because it’s not a demand problem, it’s a supply problem. All the Fed, Summers et al are doing is lowering the American standard of living to meet with supply. It’s not smart. It’s like sitting your house during a thunderstorm and deciding to move across the country to a poorer neighborhood because it’s not raining there today.
He was not wrong about the persistence and level of inflation. And you have- as predicted- just rolled your definition of "transitional" out, as needed and that will go on for quite a while. As I said, you are not going to meet your primary goal of having it significantly revert before the election. Even though we had many rounds of posts from you and others that it would not be a problem at midterms because it was going transition back. That's another area where you will adjust more and more as we go forward. "Transitional" originally meant to you and your ilk that it would go up and then transition back down. Now, as reality sets in, your ilk weasel into a definition that means it will remain high but it has transitioned back to not growing, although remaining persistently high. Dr. Tard. The physician who is "right" about everything- if you can overlook the fact that all his patients died. Larry was 100% right about about more than is convenience for you to acknowledge. Looks like Biden did not get the Saudi's to agree to delaying oil cuts until after the elections and revealed to the world- once again- what a disgusting political hack he is.
No need to worry about inflation as long as you don't fly. Or drive, or eat eggs, heat your home with gas, enjoy chicken, drink coffee, need milk or bread, or buy just about anything else.
I had a similar thought recently but had to weigh it against their donors' wishes. Donor class can sustain a bit of pain for long term gain so I still think cons will do anything possible to drag this shit out if they take either house. Much of it is out of Congress's/WH's hands since it's mostly not monetary so we'll see how creative they can get.
Yes, and I appreciated your good wishes in that thread. You're a good guy. All was a generator running for four days and a lot of trash (debris) to pick up. But the Chateau stands!
Larry Summers is right except for the fact that this inflation is a global problem we cannot solve from the US central bank. Dr. Summers looks at a patient with a high fever and recommends cutting his head off because that’s where he took the temperature. There’s nothing political here on my part. That’s your thing everything comes back to the election. You were a countdown to the midterms 20 months ago. Seriously, the Fed needs to cool off these interest rate hikes because what is needed is actually a political solution.
I was displaced from my home for 9 days due to Sandy. When we were finally able to get back it was a few more days on generator living. FEMA was very helpful where I live. Experiencing a major disaster where you live is like nothing else. Glad everything worked out for you and yours.
