what makes you think someone is "shorting" the es? its supply and demand.. perhaps buyers just arent aggressive.. and even if someone is shorting it, why would you assume that they will "feel it" in the morning.. you know nothing of their time horizon or objective for shorting.. which could be as a hedge against something else.. many newbies come into this game not knowing enough.. in your case, you know (think you do) way too much.. -qwik
There is one absolute certainty in this game; there are no certainties in this game... At least she is not without a sense of humor
LOL! I post a light-hearted thread and people are jumping all over me! 900 is a strong pyschological support level. Maybe I'll eat my words by 9:31. aphie
Japan is at an 18 year low. Europe was down 2.5% today. Those who "shorted" the S&P last evening are laughing all the way to the bank. Perhaps the US will rebound sharply and rally Tuesday. If it does, do us a favor, I beg of you not to turn around and said I told you so. If they are down, no doubt you'll make a lame excuse on why you weren't correct (An ego as large as yours will never admit an error). I may be short this moment, I may be short on the open. I may close out before the morning session and go long. What I can tell you is that I will listen to the markets and follow what they tell me to do. My head isn't swollen enough to call the markets ignorant. A smart lad such as yourself can learn a fair amount by keeping your mouth shut while taking the time to smell the coffee.
This is lite hearted? I think that "those" people that are putting their money where their mouth is are the only ones that "get it." I wish those brave souls the best... nitro
