Against the majority. Yep. But it doesn't matter. He still comes to power. Such are our laws.

You can whine about it or get used to it.

Why does reekter think that the 60% of the people who vote represent the will of everyone, but the electoral college voters don't.

He's just making a simple argument that more people voted for Clinton than Trump, and he's right. The problem is, it doesn't matter in a Republic.

You can get used to the fact that more Americans want Hillary.

Drumpf comes to power against the will of the people.

I don't need to get used to it. I've accepted that as fact for some time now. I also don't care, because it simply doesn't matter. Come late January, Trump will be the President.

It's like hearing that your chosen football team won, but more than half the people in the stands wanted them to lose. Who really gives a shit? They won.

There are very few things that are more satisfying than taking power and making laws against the will of liberals.

  8. Not to mention the fact... that in the imagination of the Framers... the huge majority of today's Hellary voters would not even be allowed to vote.

The Founders envisioned "responsible" voting. That is a voter should be one who has skin in the game... a citizen, property owner, tax payer, one who "pays attention" to goings on so that he can make an informed vote as to how the country is to be run. (Slaves were not allowed to vote and neither were women.)

What we have now is almost the greedy antithesis. Under the Founders' guidelines, there was a time when I would not have been allowed to vote. As a college student, I neither paid taxes nor owned property.... not to mention the fact that I was young and inexperienced. Over time, I "earned" the right to vote by becoming accomplished enough.

Personally, I'm not a fan of "each person gets a vote", nor am I a fan of young and immature college students having a vote. They're too stupid, too inexperienced and too easily manipulated to be entrusted with something so important.

OK, I said it. I've put on my helmet and flak jacket, so let me have it.

No flak jacket needed. You quite correctly outlined the intent of the founding fathers.

Voting in the U.S. during the past included property ownership and tax paying restrictions. The founding fathers only wanted those with "skin in the game" to vote.

Because Billy Bob and his Chevy are worth at least twice as much as someone with a programming job in California or say an engineer in Redmond, amirite?
Admit it Trumpsters, you will justify him in whatever the case. If it came out that he actually did rape someone, you'd be saying "she probably deserved it" because that's the kind of people you are. Why not just be honest with yourselves.
