Everyone complains about the rules of the game when they lose, and loves the rules when they win. The fact of the matter is that no one surprised Americans with the Electoral College method suddenly on election night. It's been in place since the founding of the country. If it had been the opposite and Hillary had won the electoral college and Trump won the popular vote, it would be the exact opposite situation right now with those on the right up in arms over the electoral college and shouting "she's not my President".

Everyone needs to chill the fuck out, grow up and give it a rest already. Campaigns were designed around the rules of the game and the best player won. Let's all move on. If you still want to change the law to a popular vote, there are methods to do that. Work towards altering the law within the confines of the law. If you truly believe the system is faulty and aren't just saying this because you are partisan, then you will wait until the dust has settled - realizing that your party might just regret making this decision someday.

  3. The genius Framers intentionally gave us the electoral collage rather than a majority vote to determine the presidency. We're seeing exactly why right now. If the "will of the people" were to ever embrace the notion of "majority rule", there is a Constitutional procedure to enact that into law. Until then, things are as they've been by the guidance of the Framers.

I understand how/why the Lefties "don't like it" when they're on the losing side. But "things are how they are" until Constitutional changes to the contrary are ratified by 38 states.

If it's REALLY right... that things need to be changed, they will be. Otherwise it's just whiny-ass losers complaining, "we lost and don't like it, wah-wah-wah".

Scat, can you honestly say that - if the situation wasn't reversed and Trump won the popular vote, but lost the electoral college - you wouldn't be screaming about a change? I'm asking the question honestly, not to troll you.

  5. The Framer's gave us the electoral college for a reason. Same reason each state has 2 and only 2 senators... not determined by population. We all know where the concentration of Leftist votes lie... and how that concentration can be politically manipulated. That alone should not be the determinant factor in the presidential election, IMV. I've bothered to study a bit of world and American political and financial history. I'm not a fan of "one man, one vote". The leaders of the country and the policies they make should NOT be determined by the popular vote of "freebies for me at the expense of others".

The DemoCraps are doing everything in their power to pack the popular vote. Personally, I don't believe a concentration of parasitic-tit-sucking ne'er-do-wells should hold sway over the country.

Personally, I'm thinking the Framers got it "pretty much right". If America were to conclude otherwise... well, we've got a Constitutional procedure to change things... if the change is REALLY right. It's difficult to amend the Constitution. IT SHOULD BE!!
