Pittsburgh is a good team. You win some you lose some. You don't know football if you think The Browns are the same team with Mayfield and Hue Jackson gone as they were last year. The Browns have a rookie QB who is the best rookie QB in the league this year with the potential to be one of the leagues best QBs.They are 4-1 since they fired Hue Jackson who should have been fired 2 years ago.
Cam has never been an accurate passer. He’s got a gun for an arm, but it’s not exactly a sniper rifle. He’s a ridiculously gifted athlete but outside of his MVP season a few years back his passing has been subpar for a pro QB. Also, the guy has taken a beating over the years. That definitely will screw up his mechanics. Cam seems like a good guy so I hope his best days aren’t in the rear view mirror but man, all those hits he’s taken has to add up.
This is sub par according to this moron Cameron Jerrell Newton[1] (born May 11, 1989)[2] is an American football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Auburn and was drafted as the first overall pick by the Panthers in the 2011 NFL Draft. Newton is the only player in the modern era to be awarded the Heisman Trophy, win a national championship, and become the first overall pick in an NFL draft within a one-year span.[3] He was the 2011 NFL Rookie of the Year, is a three-time Pro Bowler, and was named the NFL MVP in 2015. In his rookie year, Newton broke all-time NFL rookie records for passing and rushing yards. He became the first NFL quarterback to throw for 400 yards in his first game, shattering Peyton Manning's first-game record by 120 yards. He also broke Otto Graham's 61-year-old record for passing yards by any quarterback in an NFL debut.[4] Newton went on to become the first rookie quarterback to throw for 4,000 yards in a season.[5] He also ran for 14 touchdowns, more in a single season than any quarterback in NFL history, breaking Steve Grogan's 35-year-old record.[6] In 2015, Newton became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 30 touchdowns and rush for 10 in the same season (35 passing, 10 rushing).[7] He also became the only quarterback ever to have 300 yards passing, 5 touchdown passes, and over 100 yards rushing in the same game.[8] Newton capped off the 2015 season by capturing MVP honors and leading the Panthers to a 15–1 record and a trip to Super Bowl 50. He is done for the season, with the playoffs gone they are finally going to address his shoulder. He needs surgery.
Norv Turner is the offensive coordinator. That negative variable is so strong I can't even review Cam Newton. Norv...ruined a great Chargers team after Marty Shottenheimmer had them at 12 and 2 and Norv was terrible with the Redskins.
Cam newton out. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25573789/carolina-panthers-shutting-cam-newton Cam Newton to sit out Panthers' final two games due to shoulder injury CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will not play Sunday against Atlanta and is expected to be shut down for the final two games as he continues to deal with a sore throwing shoulder, a league source confirmed to ESPN. Panthers general manager Marty Hurney confirmed Wednesday that Newton will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Backup Taylor Heinicke will start and will be backed up by Kyle Allen.
Norv Turner is not a bad offensive coordinator. Cam was playing great under him until he hurt his shoulder.
Should have shut him down weeks ago imo even if it meant losing the season, same with Philly and Carson Wentz who imo was rushed back before he was ready. Teams need to follow the lead of The Colts and Andrew Luck and let let players(especially quarterbacks) sit out until they are truly healed imo.
It seems to me his only real success was working under Jimmy Johnson and having aikman smith and irvin running plays for him. since then... Norv has a lifetime losing record as a head coach. As an offensive coordinator... 2014 vikings had a losing record 2013 browns had very few wins.
