I'd agree with this. There is a tendency (I'm being charitable here) in animals -- humans et al -- to believe themselves individually and in groups as better than others. This manifests itself in many ways: jingoism, racism, ethnic hatreds, exclusive and restricted clubs, genocide, the P&R forum . . . Given that this exists throughout the animal kingdom, it may be some sort of survival mechanism. If so, it would arise out of fear. And animals were fearful even before they emerged from the primordial ooze. Conservative media understand this quite well. They also understand how easy it is to manipulate those who are fearful. So they've spent the last 30+ years keeping their flock in a state of perpetual fear. Though one could argue that they've been doing it since the Red Menace days, or even the attack on Pearl Harbor, it's been a matter of policy since the rise of Murdoch.
this is so funny coming from you ... it is sick... the only thing missing is a link to a salon piece supporting your lunacy. but in the spirit of your douche and distract bullshit... lets look at perhaps the quintessential example in U.S. history... the democrat parties own outreach group the KKK. If you wish to stick to media... try CNN and MSNBC and the massively slanted mass media...ginning up all the anti white and christian hatred. I mean why stop there when we can just point to your weekly hate posts and your links to salon articles.
And who says that behavior is unpredictable? Stimulus, Response. One can always depend on Jem the Obscure to head right for the food pellet.
“There are hundreds, probably thousands, of activist groups working overtime to bring the poorest of the poor into America, and they’re always the people who don’t particularly like America, who call us ‘racist,’ ‘sexist,’ ‘homophobic.’ Why are they bringing these poor Third Worlders here?” “It’s because they hate America, and the Republicans won’t stop them because the big [corporate] donors want the cheap labor. Immigrants from First World countries — who won’t ever go on welfare — are being discriminated against so we can drag in the poorest of the poor to instantly go welfare.” --Ann Coulter
