Well what a mistake, trying to open and run a business there. Now you lost everything and your family starves. You should have used your money and energy to move, serves you right. Who is John Galt

    Good luck in the U.K.

In the U.S., there are places where residents and shop keepers would be on top off their own roofs doing the sniping.

    exactly.
In the US major riots if they take place will be in the cities where laws against gun ownership are strong i.e. new york, San Francisco.
they will not take place in the South were most people own guns.

Once again, Britain's hard working middle classes have their lives wrecked by this country's nonsensical liberal agenda.

Where were the armed police? Where was the shoot to kill policy for rioters? Nicolas Sarkozy got this right in the French riots of 2001 and he was applauded worldwide.

We are too scared to do any damn thing right. Same story.

  6. Ultimately you have to protect your own life and your own property and can't rely on the authorities to come to your aide.
The people of the UK have allowed themselves to be disarmed.
Now They can do nothing to defend their property and the police will not do anything to protect them. They now have to hide in their homes or flee the looters and rioters. Liberal bleeding heart ideology prevents the authorities from acting with force and implementing martial law and shooting the looters and rioters.

You can have riots and looting take place for a variety of reasons including natural disasters look @ Hurrican Katrina and how the animals behaved and began running wild looting. A natural disater or many sorts of different events can cause people to go on a rampage killing and robbing. Be prepared.

    I own...
    Ar-15 .223 with a dozen 30 rounds clips
    30-06 Winchester with Leopold scope
    Remington 12 guage
    Benelli 12 guage
    Colt 1911 .45 ACP
    Beretta 9mm.
    Ruger 10-22 .22 long rifle
    Hundreds of rounds for each.

Now one is EVER coming into my home without getting a double tap to the chest and one to the head.

    Great post.

Ar-15 .223 with a dozen 30 rounds clips. Yes the best rifle available in US
30-06 Winchester with Leopold scope. A Classic.
    Remington 12 guage. A must.
Benelli 12 guage. Back up to the Remington?
Colt 1911 .45 ACP. Another classic.
Beretta 9mm. Good choice I would gone Glock
Ruger 10-22 .22 long rifle. I would have Remington 700.
    Hundreds of rounds for each.

  8. Most of the people affected have been in working class areas rather than the squeezed middle, the Asian commercial community have have also been badly affected. We have had a shoot to kill policy in the UK (allegedly) and it did little to curb violence in Northern Ireland and even to this day the PSNI are heavily armed but riots still break out every summer.

Note: Sarko was not Interior Minister in 2001

Ahem... Disagree. The M-14 is preferred. The M-16 is a toy by comparison.

It can shoot through cinderblock, through body armor and has a incredible range and very flat trajectory. The civilian version is the Springfield M1A which is semi-auto only. Ammo is expensive and a little scarce though (7.62 x 54 mm NATO, .308 Winchester).

    My little collection:

    Springfield M1A
    Remington 870 Tactical Magnum
    S&W Model 66 Combat Magnum
    S&W Model 41 Target .22LR
    Marlin 39 .22LR

I've got a modest quantity of 12 ga. and .308, a few hundred each but I've got 18,000+ .22LR in match grade lol. :D

Well the looting was primarily carried out against small business owners. I would class these people as the middle class backbone of Britain. True, the areas involved were mainly working class, but not everyone living in these areas is necessarily poor and/or on welfare.

There is a huge difference between using shoot to kill against looters - who are cowardly and only in it for the money - and against political rebels, who have a point to make and often don't mind becoming martyrs. That's why shoot to kill has completely failed in the Middle East protests as the rioters are genuinely rising up against dictatorship.

I am talking about using tough tactics against criminals who are leading comfortable lives on welfare all at the expense of the taxpayer, essentially the people they are looting.
