I wouldn't unstick it. Nothing is over, this is a downward trend much like the stock market, has been doing. Societal breakdown, which as the economy declines, will be repeated, it isn't just going to stop.

Years ago my natural reaction to this post would be to defend the UK, but to be honest with you, the UK is pretty awful. So many rude, aggressive, anti-social people everywhere. I had friends over from Canada visting me last year, and the poor guys were intimidated everywhere I took them,lol. They weren't used to such hostility.
