There are at least 30,000 confirmed cases. Only 389 deaths. Only about a 1% mortality rate

  1. 1. There is a debate going on about how to properly calculate the mortality rate while the epidemic/pandemic is still under way. One way is to divide number of deaths by the number of confirmed cases. The other way is to to divide number of deaths by the number of recovered cases. Based on the approach, you may come up with the death rate as high as 10%.

    2. When you say "our economy", I am guessing you are referring to the USA. The USA population is about 330 million. Even if the death rate is as low as 1%, it may result into close to 2 million deaths, assuming that half of the population get infected.

    3. The observation that COVID-19 is more deadly for old and sick than it is for young and healthy is not much of a pacifying factor. Two million dead people are still two million dead people. That's more that the number of people that USA has lost in combat in all the wars in which it fought since 1775. That includes Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War 1, World War 2, Vietnam War, and Korean War, and 78 other armed conflicts (yes, there have been that many).

Not sure if doctors should risk their own lives to treat an 80 year old, or even a 65 year old with an underlying health condition.

    LOL

I missed the memo when mainstream became scary, scary left wing. Was that on the same day the deeeep state showed up?

Meanwhile even Foxie News has gone after those Senators who bailed on their portfolio once they got the inside line on CV-19. And Tucker Carlson correctly nailed Chumpie's azz for not taking this more seriously earlier on.

Yeah, I think Riker's Island has over a dozen cases. I'm too lazy to look up a headline I already saw. Keep an eye out for it.

Florida is the USA's Italy, full of old people. Across the nation numbers mean little.

Florida got everything it asked for so far.
