There are at least 30,000 confirmed cases. Only 389 deaths. Only about a 1% mortality rate

Prepaid means i purchase the min's month by month. I'm debited monthly just like i was with verizon or anyone else. I could give 2 shits if many of their customers pay it monthly. I guess if i had tmobile and paid $20 more a month for the same service you wouldn't say shit . Ain't that so poppy dick prick? lmao .Guys like you are a joke . In 31 yrs i've seen 1000 of you come and go

    Also...

More global travel and more global economies are connected during the Swine Flu as in it should have given them early alerts about the connection in the spread via air travel. In addition, as you stated...social media is playing a big factor with all false narratives on both sides of the camp.

Simply, this isn't a one sided affair and anything stated is easily fact checked.

As for the swine flu...when it was first detected...I was at a family reunion in Arizona and then went to Mexico to visit a college friend that had just bought a home in Mexico. The swine flu was detected in Mexico in a kid and started to spread...mostly to young family members.

Mexico quickly shut many things down. I remember a tour of one town...the bus transportation was ordered closed and later other events were cancelled. It all happen quickly in about two days in reference to how fast Mexico shut things down.

Further, I remember there were no "health checks" at the airport for any one departing Mexico. I would later hear the same from other that drove (returning) back to the U.S. within days after the WHO became concerned.

Thus, it seems to me a big problem is that when governments health organization begins to shut things down...transportation out of the area is still allowed without any health checks for many days until they shut down the transportation. Yet, I flew out of Mexico back to Arizona without any health checks a few days after WHO declared a problem in Mexico.

Seriously, 2009 was not that long ago and you would think that the Swine Flu taught them a valuable lesson about the importance of health checks in/out of airports and shutting down the departing flights out of an infected area "immediately" including border crossings via vehicles.

How many weeks did it take Pres. Trump to shut down arrivals from Europe or any other countries (e.g. Iran, Japan, South Korea) after the outbreak in China, Europe and Iran ???

Most of the media coverage was about Iran possible retaliation about an assassination of a military general, trade wars with China, protests in France about raising the retirement age from 62 to 64 until about mid January...about 2 - 3 weeks after news of the outbreak in China.

Simply, for about 2 - 3 weeks...nobody cared about the outbreak until they saw the impact on the markets in China. I guess money really does talk.

Yet, even on January 23rd...the WHO refused to declared it an "international virus alert" nor a public health emergency for the coronavirus even though China were locking down several cities near Wuhan (epic center) including Wuhan itself.

I remember that day because I was watching CNBC. An analyst stated they were taking some profits because of concerns or lack of concern by the U.S. and the WHO. Maybe the U.S. weren't concerned because by January 23rd...there was only one confirmed case of the coronavirus in the U.S. but they would not revealed if it was someone that had any contact with someone that had travelled in China...

I researched it too...couldn't find any info about the state / city.

Not until about a 1/2 dozen cases were confirmed in the U.S. a few days later when they begin to disclose the locations (state/cities) while the CDC was stating on January 27th Monday the "health risks remain relatively low"...

All while China's Wuhan (epic center) is on complete lockdown and while transportation was still occurring out of China back to Italy (Europe) and the U.S. from other cities in China not on lockdown.

It prompt me to start doing some research about what was going on in China because most of the news I was hearing...news about trade wars and the tensions with Iran about that assassination of their military General while the health organizations seemed "brain washed" or "controlled by someone" about what was occurring in China.

Just as strange...on January 30th Thurs...WHO declares coronavirus as only a global health emergency but does not recommend travel nor trade restrictions. Simply, they were allowing the infection to spread among those travelling or doing business in trade (exports).

Its comical too when Canada and U.S. use a written questionnaire to ask people in airports if they have had any symptoms whereas in China they actually used hand held medical devices to briefly examine you because they realize someone desperately trying to get back home will lie thru their teeth and say they have no symptoms. :vomit:

These recent Pandemics (SARS, Swine Flu and Coronavirus) could have easily been controlled when the epic center of each began shutting down their cities had the WHO acted via shutting down the airport or using health checks for those departing those cities or nearby cities.

The WHO and CDC late reactions in my opinion have cost economies billions / trillions of dollars...worst...deaths. On the flip side, many traders are profiting from this cluster fuck.

Swine Flu didn't kill anyone, it was an interesting study into how fast a killer could travel, what did we learn from that, lots but not enough.

We learned plenty in the US. Even wrote a pandemic response book and set up a team in place. It's of no use if the new guy decides to toss it in the trash and scraps the program

What I don't get is, where were the intelligence agencies all the time? I know as early as end of January they were giving daily briefing to Trump, but obviously he dismissed those. My concern is that the system is so screwed that one idiot on the top can fail the whole system. There are no fail safes or they didn't act properly. And here we are...

That's my take...the intelligence briefings were warning him, & the armed forces went into prep. mode several weeks ago expecting a pandemic. So you're right, it's from the head down....and the cowards & yes men who don't see the threat to America by keeping him at the helm instead of removing him from sheer incompetence.
