Theoretical Maximum of Crude Oil Price (future)

  1. Hello,

I am interested whether someone found a sound scientific paper or work what the theoretical maximum of crude prices could be for the future !

While I think, 1000$ is theoretically possible (just assume current production would be 20mb/day under current international econ conditions), I'd say, e.g. 1500$ is not. (means, Oil would be substituted in all cases then)

  2. Provided commercial based quantities of alternatives are available.

  3. My example does NOT reflect a realistic situation! (Paper currency value and econ condition would be heavily distorted by Oil supply then)

I am just looking for a paper, publication, something.
