The Bible is bang-on in telling us where we're going. We already knew it of course, but it's useful to have a book tell our kids, so we don't have to rain on their parade ourselves. ; )
so which bang on bible place are you going? up in the sky where you will get a mansion where the streets are paved in gold or to the firey pit in the earth where you will burn forever.
I think this article highlights my point exactly. http://uk.health.lifestyle.yahoo.ne...istant-to-all-available-antibiotics-found.htm
you bible thumpers are funny. you cant recognize evolution when it is looking you in the face. you have to put a superstious religious slant on it. the bacteria has mutated(evolved) to the point where it is resistant to available drugs.
of course god created gonorrhoea and all the other dreadfull diseases that ravage mankind. he created everything. but dont forget he loves you. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you. written by George Carlin
I am not personally making this argument... but I thought it might have some relevance to the original post. Between movies like the matrix and some of the the quotes I see from some physicists, there are plenty of people who speculate the universe resembles a thought or the workings of a mind. -- Ed Harrison (cosmologist): "Here is the cosmological proof of the existence of God â the design argument of Paley â updated and refurbished. The fine tuning of the universe provides prima facie evidence of deistic design. Take your choice: blind chance that requires multitudes of universes or design that requires only one.... Many scientists, when they admit their views, incline toward the teleological or design argument." (18)
If you read the original post the point raised is that the concept of God is not a man but the boundaries and morals set by a conscious mind. Why does God want us to behave in a certain way. Why has there been certain things set to make people obey laws that impact on other people.
