Theologians Think They’re Smarter Than Stephen Hawking

Your argument, if it could be called that, is miserably self defeating.
If the "human brain gets stuff wrong", then the human brain that asserts... "God, or whatever is the ultimate reality, doesn't get stuff wrong." ... can get that wrong too.

It took well over 20 years for Susskind and others to show how Hawking would be wrong. So obviously not in an undergrad's job capability.
You seem to have that wrong as well.

In general a theologian will talk as if they can't be wrong.

  2. What are you trying to say?

    Edit: I think I know...

You're saying rising temps precede rising co2 levels and rising co2 levels lead temperatures even higher.... generally speaking from what we can tell from the historical record. I agree.

Thank you. The general public, and that includes most who post on ET, generally use the word theory to mean what in science is an hypothesis. I have gotten used to this, and I don't mind it any more. But I must say that in the past it bothered me a great deal to see this word "theory" so misused. Now I just accept that when someone here writes the word "theory" they probably mean "hypothesis". In science there are both theories and hypotheses, but they certainly are not the same.

For example, the second law of thermodynamic is theory. Were it ever to be disproved, it would become neither theory nor hypothesis. On the other hand the idea that early life forms may have depended on RNA catalysts rather than protein catalysts, i.e., what we now call enzymes, is an hypothesis. If it becomes proven and is widely accepted as fact it will become theory.

An interesting case and example are Newton's laws of mechanics. Many lay people believe that since Newton's laws do not hold for very small bodies that they have been proven wrong, and that this is a case where science has been shown to be wrong. However, it can be shown that Newton's laws are consistent with the quantum mechanics of larger bodies where quantitized energies are so close together that they act as a continuum. Thus Newton's laws are consistent with the quantum mechanics, hold true for large bodies, and are therefore still theory. They are a special case of the quantum mechanics.

  4. Yes it's funny to think that someone incapable of guassian transformations could ever disprove all of the physics Stephen Hawking has summarized throughout his life.

Life is due to the construct of galaxies being torsion field generators. Wherever there is water, silicon, and a few other elements that heat to 1000 degrees fahrenheit, unicellular organisms appear and life forms. Water gets there via extraterrestrial origin from comets. Eventually the water turns into a liquid to produce a water cycle following the settlement of the cataclyicsm of the impact. From water, new organisms arise because the torsion field is the construct by which DNA is created throughout the universe.

Death can be averted through time travel, and this is the holy grail. There is no death if you know you've been travelled through time, and have met with your "angel" ie:extraterrestrial. That is also how to get into heaven because you've never died. You get picked up from time travellers in the future and they create a second universe where your former body lives in another parallel dimension two and a half lifetimes from the date any concious human being ever knew you. This is so that you do not destroy the history of the universe when you time travel.

Having the knowledge that UFO's travel unfathomable distances measured in light years means time travel's possible. It's only a matter of time before the US Government acknowledges the origins of these creatures, and as long as I'm alive, I live well knowing that is their purpose in coming here.

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/videoseries?list=PL08EF19FC8C3D9F13&amp;hl=en_US" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Say what you will about abductions, but my opinion is having those experiences probably means you're going into heaven, and because ancient man did not know it was even possible to travel into space, they inadvertently associated the universe as heaven, when the purpose of all life is to express conciousness on planets hospitable to life, and the intellectual, psychological, and social aspects of the mind are the essence of life.

Try to see past the pyschiatries that dismiss the findings quantum phsycists have discovered that it is now possible to transport particles back in time. Temporal backtravel is measured in minusmilliseconds, and the purpose of the minusmillisecond is to identify dimensions of the universe with both their locations in time, forming the boundaries of the universe wherein calculations indicate that we are reaching the maximum amount of critical mass that the universe allows prior to its collisions with massive black holes that destroy the torsion field generators that give rise to life on all planets with a water cycle.

To deny it is as simple as this does not mean evolution or theology must be chosen to live life as ethically as the laws of civilization expect you to, but are natural consequence of a particular need for humans to institute order so that their lives are easier, longer, and more enlightened.

I've placed these videos here because the explanation of the torsion fields at the center of the milky way is the cause of mitochondrial DNA. It does not have to exist beforehand or even be created because the particles interact with torsion fields to produce the double helix structure life springs eternal from, in every region of space where there are planets like earths. And I state with certainty that there are indeed other planets like earth, but their distinction between "life" and "intelligent life" is also not something I care to distinguish, because if it happens on this planet Carl Sagan's estimate of at least 5 civilizations capable of faster than light travel who express conciousness the way humans do is probably a gross underestimate of how many family members there are in this galaxy alone. Never mind Hubble's Constant means there are no boundaries in the universe, and by our standards that makes these possibilities limitless. God's purpose is to judge, and he does that by reading your mind and reliving the conciousness of every living creature before doing so, to derive judgement in a way that is truly divine, and I hope there will come a time when it is recognized by philosophers that there are multi-dimensional mathematics that allow for splitting of universes, and that is a central tenet of the Old Testament in that Abraham split the universe with God, and as he did with me, being born June 12th, 1984 exactly halfway between Christ's birth and now.

These are his gifts, and more intelligent people can express these views better than I can. Travelling beyond the speed of light has been a common experience in my restful nights and mornings, so I know I will probably live to see these experiences manifest into concious experience as long as you recognize that if you are dreaming in colors, you're caught in the vortex of alternate realities you are experiencing at that moment in other parallel dimensions at that particular moment sometime in the future as you are sleeping. This has made my dreams much more understandable as the linkage especially with the time travellers and faster than light travel knowingly makes sense if you have to calculate the position of every atom since the beginning of the universe into the future to derive the cosmological events that lead to our creationist viewpoints that typically ignore the rigid philosophical constructs most scientists do not try to hide whenever they discuss the reasons for our existence.

  5. So I assume you don't believe in man-made global warming? :)

  6. I don't care about global warming because every single planet in the solar system is going through it. That's also in the documentary where it explains that the changes happening on the earth are not unique, and part of the cosmological processes more than they are man-made problems. The issue is that 200 years of data does not show any trend in rising temperature, because it is too small of a sample out of the billions of years old that the earth is. Scientists examined petrified pre-historic trees and found a similar climatic cycle prior to the ice age, so I'm not worried about it because it has happened before and that means it's natural.

  7. That's what I thought.

wow. One just can't argue with logic like that.

    1. I am saying based on historical data we see that rising temps precede rising co2 levels.

    and now for the speculation...

2a, We can add that many climatologists now speculate increased co2 levels can amplify the temperature increase.

    or

2b. Jem speculates that what could also be happening is that as the environment warms... it can hold more co2. the way warmer air holds more water.

    2c... both 2a and 2b.

    1a, true fact.
2a, true fact, is not speculation, it's why greenhouses are warmer than the same piece of ground (receiving the same energy input) outside them.

It's incredible that you cannot hold both these facts in your mind at the same time.
