    Good shot Tea;

    do however , with so many good stocks/ indexes to trade in a bull market ,
    like Buffet fundamental screen of trading /investing in a company one would own.

    Wonder if Buffet has thiught of anything to say concerning
    Nissam Nick Taleb rebuke of Buffet still ''living in a starter home'':)

    Under stand living in a travel trailer;

  2. buffett living in a small rancher is another bogus urban myth, perpetrated by buffett. yes, he lists the small rancher as his primary residence but also owns palatial estates. another technique to ingratiate himself with the common man. what is up with this guy ??

    Tea

    His father was a Democrat Congressman. I presume that is where he learned how to present a "common man" image.

    Guess he is afraid, as are all billionaires, that one day the masses are going to rise up and "eat the rich". :D

  4. capital inflow sounds like a nice idea, incesead productivity..blah blah blah..as the author would have u believe...

    but what capital inflow is DEBT...that have to repaid ...
    current account defecit is simply borrowing against the future..

    I don't see how that is good for america in the long run...

    you don't need to have a economic degree to understand that..

    another point, it is ok if the capital inflow can goes into real investment as oppose to speculation investment, and most of the foreign capital inflow has been into the stock market and government bonds ..not into productivity increase...

    that's MY economic theory..like the author of the article,buffet has his own theory.. the econ professor can keep on re-hashing something from his econ-101, but that just talk..

    everybody can make up his own stuff about what the economy is about..it's just opinion..

    and as trader, we are know all that theory is not of much use in the market, the market will have the final verdict..

    and it looks like the FX market is agrees with buffet on this one..

    As far as ingratiating himself & helping the common man ;
    wonder if mr Buffet is jealous of Carl Ichan's & William J.O.Neill 's skill in that department.

    Saw William 0. J. Neill on Kudlow & Cramer this week said something like -dont buy those stocks without looking at a chart ;
    they might correct.:cool:

    Marketsurfer, Hunter, if i am going to take off some in January like William J.O.Neill;
    better do some more work this year.:cool:

  6. How much lower do you want to stoop surfer?

    Your obsession with discrediting Buffet borders on the pathological.

    You must have been living in a coccoon not to realize how much jealousy perceptions of 'filthy rich' levels of wealth induce among people. Even if Buffet, deep down, doesn't feel like just a common guy, even if it all is just an act, as you say, what harm is there in protecting himself from being perceived as a "rich crook", "one of those bastards" etc? That is "what is up" with this guy.

    What is up with you?
