  1. That's really "evolved" thinking there ...

Those articles you have posted are mostly political rants from particular moral points of view and lack much objective discussion of the provisions of the bill. One thing I note is how low the projected cost is to get all these people insured. About a trillion over ten years. About 28 dollars a month per person in the U.S. Remarkably low for such a benefit! Compared to the total cost of the Iraq war estimated at 3-4 trillion it is peanuts, and far more beneficial to U.S. Citizens.

It is duly noted that insurance premiums will go through the roof without the public option. Consequently the latter is absolutely essential if costs are to be held down.

If these ranting, raving lunatics were so concerned about socialism I would think they'd want first to eliminate the army, navy, air force, and marines before universal health care coverage! Those socialist activities of the government don't seem to bother them, but talk about making affordable health care available to virtually everyone and they go nuts.

Pig Pelosi even included a nice little gift for her trial lawyer friends in the bill:

Section 2531, entitled “Medical Liability Alternatives” establishes an incentive program for states to adopt and implement alternatives to medical liability litigation. But…… a state is not eligible for the incentive payments if that state puts a law on the books that limits attorneys’ fees or imposes caps on damages.

Pelosi may be committed to losing seats, but will the Congressmen in the seats that are in play (2010) willing to lose their jobs?

They are going to get a wake up call tomorrow when Virginia and NJ go Republican (both Obama states).

like any bill, the good gets weighed with the bad.

And right now, the bad outweighs the good.

Hey I have my state-run health insurance at a scant $39/month...but I wouldn't want to see this thing go through as is.

  6. I am no expert on US politics and I probably detest Obama as much as Bush.
Maybe I could give you my take on Pelosi as a fresh faced newcomer to US politics.
She is a CUNT. A rancid old cunt. At this rate she is going to make Cher's plastic surgeon look good. So of course the bill is bad -it's the worst ever -it stinks just like the rancid old cunt that is backing it.
Is it the consensus on this forum that Pelosi is a cunt? Should we have a poll?

  7. So I have not read the bill, but what happened to it being actualrially sound? I thought it was supposed to be operate on that kind of model? has it become another "free for everyone but me and I get the bill" kind of affair?

    I guess I'm not surprised.

It's not the cost you should be concerned about, or who is going to pay for it. It's the destruction of the Bill of Rights that's most worrisome. The Executive Branch of Government will gain enourmous power with the passage of this bill. Will the 22nd Amendment be repealed next? The Constitution is under serious attack.

Americsan DRs are criminals and ungovernable....this bill will not work for many reasons, one being that the liars and thieves will now have access to even more public money to steal.

Be patient, . The AMA will be next. Obama is a brilliant political tactician. If it is one thing Obama learned from Hillary it's that when it comes to health care reform you have to divide and conquer. You'll never succeed taking on the Insurance industry AND the AMA at the same time.
