Kind of like how "God" waves his magic wand and things appear and events happen. As if you're bashing the big bang theory for not adding up.
Religious people used to sacrifice humans under suspicion of being a witch. They got over that the last few decades though didn't they?
The devil is the god of this world, spelled small g because if you force him to, he has to answer to God... he starts lying to people, religious or not, early in their lives and never stops. He has stolen wealth and happiness from most of us before we know what they are. He has a kingdom here on earth that in a sense includes everybody. Few Christians really overcome all of his lies and history is full of religious leaders that were full of the devil's lies.... Tony Alamo was in the news recently, perfect example, he's just a sick sob that's religious, not an example of the truth..... God became human and paid for all of our lie-beliefs on the cross. Then his half brother James wrote that we should regularly get together and confess our sins [dig out the lies we believe with God's help and put them on the cross] but nobody does this. Almost nobody, there have been a few hundred in Southern California that do that over the past decades but that's it... we all get over lies large and small and go on to have much better lives... but hey, that's just us, we're not big scholars or anything and we all keep our traps shut around the religious people, they hate us more than they hate the devil..... and they have only the slightest understanding of what the Scripture is saying believe it or not...
Wait wait wait....So...according to you...something can just pop out of nothing (big bang theory) But God creating something out of nothing is just too much for you to get a grasp on? We basically almost believe the same thing. You believe there was nothing that suddenly popped everything into existence and I believe God suddenly popped everything into existence. God adds up alot better than the big bang.
Moses was in the desert for decades, it's fairly plain to see that the story there was that God was working with him, getting rid of the lies.. but could not get rid of them all, that's why Moses struck the rock and got punished, sort of.. the lies are what make us sick and aged, Moses was 120 and had not aged... so we cannot get rid of all of it maybe but the first 80% is easy... nobody is perfect... Job took it on the nose from the devil and all his friends and his wife... and he argues that he was a good guy.. then, it's at the very end of the book, last chapter, he's goes "Oh wow, I get it, my righteousness is powerless but God's righteousness is the greatest" and he gave up his own righteousness and God gave him His and his life was fine after that ... right after Jesus died [I mean, three days later anybody that asks, their lies are bought and paid for and discarded, ANYBODY THAT ASKS] His disciples spent 40 days in the Upper Room praying, they must have been confessing stuff and getting rid of the lies because they emerged and changed the world permanently... I'm sorry about the horrible things that Christians have done and are doing, there are winners and losers in that arena in all senses of the words...
People getting burned alive in the town square for being "different" is more acceptable to you than a gay couple getting married? So we should burn gays instead of letting them get married? Is that what you're saying?
