It's not bizzare. It's apropos. Firearm owners tend to know the laws and don't spout off tangential or overused cliches concerning firearm laws. Most firearm owners first become familiar with the laws when they purchase their first registerable firearm. The questions on the permit application are a great starting point.

In fact, for non-registerable firearms, the background check form you fill out has questions that allude to what constitutes legal ownership.

See form 4473. Should be familiar if you ever purchased a firearm.

  2. ok.. now i am really concerned about you. you completely avoided my question. i never mentioned specific registration. i was talking about policy... does that bother you?

is that your game? avoid the big picture? focus on bizarre made up arguments and assign it to someone that disagrees with your positions? i noticed you didn't cite anything i had previously brought up.

did you read the article about kennesaw ga? are you being paid to post lies about gun control.... they may want their money back when they realize they hired corky.

This coming from a conspriracy theorist? Rich.

In any event, I addressed your question. Let me show you how.

You bring up a tangeant to what I was discussing. Namely nonsense about creating new laws as if that's what I'm advocating. Then you bring up Hitler and a confiscation of registered firearms. At that point I realized that only a non-firearm purchaser/owner would bring some bizarre conspriacy theory related fear that there's a slippery slope to registration that ends in totalitarianism. Just shows that one knows very little about the firearm laws of this country.

We DO NOT have unemcumbered access to firearms in this country. We have very good laws on the books - some states more than others. There are things that can be do to strengthen those laws.

And as to the big picture, the big piture is policy surrounding firearm ownership which I've addressed consistently in this thread.

Have a nice day. You should stick to your first love - conspiracy theories and leave the rational conversations to the adults.

  4. i think it is a very legitimate point i brought up about Hitler and similar policies regarding gun control. i wish to God the jews in germany had been armed and fought off the nazis. how many millions of lives would have been saved?

unlike doodoo, i don't care what a person is.. i care what their actions are and the innocent jews that were slaughtered by a GUN CONTROLLER like Hitler scares the hell out of me.

never again do i want to see these crimes repeated. i dont care what color they are... or what god they worship. i am extremely anti-war but i know that people have a right to self defense from an evil aggressor like Hitler.

so now Hitler is conspiracy nut territory? ok... glad you told me, i wont bring it up again. anything else you wish to censor while we are at it?

I hate having to deal with internet trolls. Show me exactly how I'm a constitution hater and alleged gun grabber. Cite specifically where I state such a contrary thing (considering that I am a firearm owner) to support your asinine assumption?

Just as I thought... no substance. Fake liberal = a conservative posing as a liberal. I'm centrist.

Ok. One last time for posterity's sake.

The Hitler argument is a strawman argument given that we already have registration of firearms. It comes in the form of concealed carry permit/license, federal tax stamp and registration of machine guns and auto sears, and in some states general ownership permits. Or didn't you know? All firearm owners know at least this much. In fact, non-owners who have an interest in seeing more encumbrances tend to know that much. Not sure where you fit in since you demonstrate little if any knowledge of gun ownership in the US.

Now, if you're pushing or advocating the abolishment of registration of any and all firearms and to have free and uncumbered access to firearms of any type, that's another story.

I will ask you yet again to do this in case you care to stop looking foolish: find where I advocate "gun grabbing."

Unless I see that, consider this the last post in reply to you.
