  1. And here is an image of the Star of David which has nothing in common with the tattoo. The star of David is a six-pointed star, the dude had a five-pointed star. I presume they taught you to count to six in Romania:

and in case you missed my previous post in this thread: Polish (Kazmierczak): patronymic from the personal name Kazimierz, a compound of Polish kazic ‘to destroy’ + the Old Slavic element mir ‘peace’, ‘quiet’, ‘esteem’. This was a traditional name of Polish kings in the Middle Ages.

  2. Going forward, I believe there needs to be cooperation between the mental health profession and law enforcement to confiscate firearms from such individuals the moment they are evaluated as having a psychological disorder.

There are privacy laws which prevent "cooperation" between mental health and law enforcement. Wave to the security camera, the eye is the sky will protect us (yea right).

A 5 pointed star with a circle around it is a pentagram.

Yet all a woman has to do is call the police and say she was or feels threatened by her boyfriend or husband and say he has guns and they come and get them without substantiation of the threat.

    Ya gotta love it.

Did you know that a concealed carry permit of handguns is a type of registration as well as registering to own all machine guns? And this is in the United states. And that this has been going on for decades.

    What's your point?

  8. did you know that most gun control laws are rarely prosecuted? why would passing more laws, that will be unenforced, do any good?

That's mostly untrue. re; most gun control laws are rarely prosecuted. Violations are rarely reported or uncovered. Once they are, there aren't many turning a blind eye.

In any event, the law in practically all states is that if you are found to be mentally unfit for firearm possession, you will not be able to acquire or continue to possess them. I'm hoping someone will step in and actually enforce that law with greater veracity.

There is no privacy issue at this level because being deemed mentally unfit by a court makes it a matter of public record.

What needs to happen is more cooperation from the mental health profession to speed this process along by submitting actionable documentation at the first sign of trouble. As little as counselling - be it manditory or voluntary.

Considering that all it takes is one phone call in a domestic violence scenario to have firearms confiscated - as that is deemed an imminent threat - all the more as we have seen at least anecdotally, mentally ill or disturbed persons with firearms represent an imminent threat to society at large.

BTW, do you own any registrable firearms? I'm curious because you don't seem to know the basic laws that are at a minumum either told to you and are on the application for a permit.
