You should wiki "American Entrepreneurs", then click on individual links.
Multiple failures seem to go with the territory.

Now... what has Biden ever done?
    Go to college?
Learn to smile and talk pretty in a state to this day that has less than a million people?

"It's better to have tried and failed, than to have never tried at all".

I asserted it was 'par for the course.' Is that, or isn't that a true statement.

I made no assertions as whether a would-be POTUS should be given participation trophies for multiple failed businesses that were started with Daddy's money. Or whether that's equivalent to entrepreneurs who had to work hard, and/or borrow, for seed money.

If that's something you wish to debate, I can't help you, sorry.

I'm not debating it, I would say the exact same thing if stumbled upon a forum and I had zero idea of who you were talking about.

See that's the difference between those who are intelligent, and those that drink a firehose of MSNBC bs.
    I see it everyday bud.
Some here call what you exhibit TDS.... I just call it a lack of worldliness.
I gotta dip out, but I'll respond to your inevitable response tomorrow.
I mean dude.... you have a lot to learn in life.
    For real.

Actually it has nothing to do with environmental laws, they knew the wash basin floods. That's why they built the gates.... to open when it does flood.

This failure intrigued me. The water got to 22' which resulted in substantial osmotic lifting pressure on the gate due to its design. They used tubular steel. It should have been solid steel.

The gate lifted and the lateral pressure of the water flow beating on the damn thing caused the lower hinge to fail as it probably only had about a quarter inch left of usable contact with the outer racing.

But even at that... tubular would have worked. The engineers screwed up. This is what happens when you have engineers that have no common sense. Or at least, have never hung a farm gate that you don't want people lifting off its hinges to get through.

It took a minute to find the right picture, and then the zoom function on Paint....

The dumb-asses installed the top hinges... downside up!

    Not Trumpy's fault. :p
