Checkout the Bill Title in the link: "To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide earnings assistance and tax relief to members of the uniformed services, volunteer firefighters, and Peace Corps volunteers, and for other purposes..." Lipstick on pig, eh? Hilarious.

The 205 Ayes, who voted in favor of the bailout bill, should lose their seat in the next election.

Which spineless representatives changed ("corrected") their vote, from Aye to No or vice versa, once they saw the outcome ?

I throw the "not voting" Weller into this category.

I have even more contempt for an Aye vote changed to No than I do for an unchanged Aye.

  3. Correct.....ENEMIES, foreign and DOMESTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Every one of them is a wrong!

Support the NOES, and warn them to NOT BACK DOWN!!!

Good question. And whoever it was should be recommended for psychological evaluation and/or investigated for corruption.

All the fear mongering and the S&P 500 is only down 9% today.

Having said that, ES could touch 950 in the weeks ahead.

My hope is that we dive into this recession, resolute, without significant government intervention and that we get it over in 12 months -- or longer if the government intervenes.

  8. Is that the same weasel who endorsed the intemperate old geezer who was at that the time the presumptive nominee, and when the voters in Kansas considered this clown's endorsement, they rejected it big time for the Arkansas huckster who was the modern day version of Elmer Gantry?

Time article "Let Risk-Taking Financial Institutions Fail"

" An analysis by statistician Nate Silver, who runs FiveThirtyEight.com, made this clear. Of the 38 incumbent members of Congress from both parties who are considered vulnerable in the coming election, 30 voted against the bill, and only 8 supported the bill. By contrast, members of Congress from relatively safe districts were evenly divided — 197 for to 198 against. "

ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet Says U.S. Must Pass Plan to Rescue 'Global Finance'

    Fuck you Jean-Claude.

If this isn't a sign to vote No on the bill, I don't know what is.

Why should US tax payers, our children, grand children, and great grand children, bail out foreign entities who made bad bets?
