Few including most of our "leaders" have no idea what to do to. They're terribly ignorant and or misinformed on the topic. And worse the anti-gun buffoons don't care, they just want to eliminate private ownership of guns one step at a time PERIOD

  2. Sometimes it takes a tragic and shocking events to spur us to action (example an IRS audit spurred me to keep better books). It isn't just Obama it's all of us. The gun background check wouldn't of done anything to stop Newtown from happening but it is a common sense and logical thing to do. I live in gun country in west Texas and none of my anti-Obama gun fanatic buddies are against background checks for buying guns.

Perhaps, but by doing it this way, the bullshit meter goes through the roof.

It's not about background checks. It's about losing credibility when publicity stunts make people feel cheesy about it. If you (or anyone else) feels so strongly about the item, make the debate. Win the American people over to your side, then have them call their congressional reps.

    Stop with the drama.

  6. No drama, the American people are already for background checks, the drama belongs to the other side on this issue.

The gun background check would NOT have done ANYTHING to stop Newtown OR the Gabby Gifford shooting BUT it is a common sense and logical thing to do.

The gun background check would NOT have accomplished a GD thing, nothing zero zippo nada to stop Newtown OR the Gabby Gifford shooting BUT somehow it is a "common sense and logical thing to do."

    1) News flash, back ground checks are already required when purchasing from an FFL
    2) so called "universal" background checks would require the registration of the 200 - 300 million firearms already in circulation and it also assumes no guns would cross our boarders illegally, like drugs and Mexicans do everyday. Otherwise it's completely unenforceable. Hence utterly useless.
3)The vast VAST majority of guns used in crimes were not are not and NEVER will be subject to background checks PERIOD. They're STOLEN.

    4) Lets say you numb skulls get want you want. Afterwards when the mentally ill are still getting guns and the shootings are still happening. What's your next "common sense and logical thing to do" going to be?

Because most of those victims were Black and Obama doesn't care about Black people.
Once White people get killed it becomes a problem for the racist Democrats.
