---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No, I am not dumb. I see you lie in the thread.
Excellent questions. I think the answer to "why use a gun?" lies in our culture. The firearm is a more heroic (in the case of mass murder, anti-heroic) way to take a life than a bomb, or poison, etc. Not to mention the visceral "satisfaction" of pulling a trigger.
Completely agree. But keep in mind that if we choose this route, then there is still a loss of freedom, and not just for the known mentally ill. In Canada, for example, just uttering a threat in a moment of anger will get your guns seized (if it's reported) for two years I think. But if the person has been socialized in the US, and guns are easy to get, that's what they're gonna choose most of the time, regardless of any understandable motive.
==================== Well i agree with that, mostly , Nitro; in TX killing is permitted when in fear of life or property damage[i think] Even , recently, state of Ill now is forced to have conceal carry law, right????? I learned the 10 commandments of God as a kid; 10 commandments of gun safely as a kid. Hope this helps it helped me a lot ===============================
