I like this idea. Just so long as I'm the one with the control button. I've seen similar devices on Star Trek but when you push the button the people just dissappear so there isn't anything to dispose of or shock the other sheeple.

The alternative, of course, is mind control. Once we have that we can just make everyone behave the way we want. But, again, I'm only for this if I have the controls.

 

I already feel bad for anyone who will be living when/if that kind of tech exists. personally I'd prefer a nuclear fucking holocaust to living like that.

 

No doubt your plan is well intentioned, but like so many plans today, does not address the real problem. That being, crazy violent people killing innocent victims. Short of implanting a explosive chip in everyones head that goes off as it senses a muderous violent incident about to occur, you won't stop the killers from killing. People are very resourceful and will always find a way to kill their victims. They'll do it with or without a gun, and they'll continue to do it in large numbers.
We live in a culture that fosters violence, and then finds excuses for those committing the act. A recipe for disaster.

 

If the kill rate is the same for gun and no-gun scenarios, then why does the military use guns?

 

Efficiency. Something the deranged killer need not concern himself with. How many guns did McVeigh use?

 

yea really.. how many guns were used for 9/11 ricter? Quickly killing huge amounts of people is not best done by gun, and certainly doesn't require one.

 

So I'll just get a transmitter to spoof an "allowed " GPS location signal.

The implied argument is that there would be just any many people mass murdered per unit time, even if there were fewer assault style weapons available, because imminent mass murderers would just create big bombs instead. I do not believe that.
