Hard to believe but true. The consipracy theory critics are sure to jump in but the US government is slowly moving toward an world-wide form of government. Just read the transcript from the recent G20 summit. The US is intentionally destroying the USD and entrepreneurialism so they can gain more power and expand the size of government. At the speed we're moving we will be like Cuba one day.

  2. this is extremely true. the illiquidity in this markets tells us that it is pricing in some kind of socialist/communist takeover of the system. many in america would say NOOO how can this be, but 50% of the population are fucking numbnuts who dont give two shits and the other 45% actually welcome it

Bulloney! All they have to do is run a Palin-type candidate and plant him/her in front of Charlie Gibson who will chastise the candidate like a grandchild and bingo, Obama is a two-termer.

  4. Being a Beck fan myself, I find it hard to understand his critics. (Other than the brain-dead partisans, of course.)

He's definitely NOT a "Libtard in disguise".

Whatever you think of the initiative to raise marginal tax rates on incomes above 250K, the article posted by Libertad is absurd. Either the author, Mr. Whalen, is wrong, which I suspect; or he needs to restructure his business and credit arrangement with his bank so that his legitimate business expenses will not add to his taxable income.

It is not even clear at this point what will happen to the Obama tax proposal. Normally one's business expenses, even if paid out of one's personal account, would be fully deductible. Either Mr. Whalen's taxable income is less than 250k, after deducting business expenses, in which case he has nothing to worry about, as he won't be affected; or he has a taxable income over 250K after deducting expenses, in which case he is fortunate because the vast majority of workers and business owners in the US are making less, much less!; he certainly should not be complaining.

Mr. Whalen's article must be dismissed as not germane to the issue of whether tax rates should be raised on taxable incomes over 250K.

Let me tell you. If Palin runs again, she won't look/sound anything like she did last year.

She wasn't ready then, but will be by 2011 if she runs.

But yes, your general point, of putting up a really weak candidate like McCain is hard to overcome.

I would argue that he was the weaker of the McCain/Palin ticket last year.

Phil Hendrie always plays like he's attacking both sides, then he gives the Democrat answer as the solution.. pretty boring stuff for the most part..

  8. INDIVIDUAL financial independence through small business ownership was always the REAL backbone of America.....not LARGE corporations and their "dependency" jobs.

As I have mentioned in several threads before, small business owners and the entrepreneurs of this country are the PRIME TARGETS of those who are taking this country down. The US economy can ONLY be strong with empowered small business owners (farmers, local store owners, local construction company, LOCAL banker, local car mechanic, local family restaurant, etc......).

It is so obvious in these past 20 to 30 years that small business created from American Entrepreneurism is under full asymmetrical attack in this country......and you can THANK both sides of the "compromised" criminal syndicate two party political system we have for this state of affairs!

  9. ........................................................................

    Spot On....

However this will not move forward until a reduction in govt. size....and tax structure change happens.....

And...the US must rid itself of incapable fools such as :

    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=awkCb_.i0w4s

Any individual in office that cannot comprehend this....

America needs units that move forward....

Each unit has income and debt....

When income increases and debt decreases....the unit moves forward....

When income decreases and debt increases....the unit moves
    backwards....

Every single item that the current admin. is imposing suggests all units move backwards....

    .........................................................................

The 15% C tax....10% State...5% Fed removes the lobbyist system by default by state mandate....removes the IRS....and will dwarf the progressive tax take....

The new found direct access electronic exchange enhances wealth distribution, efficiency, and simplifies regulation....
which enhances TRUST....removes the SEC to be replaced by the new simplified low cost electronic regulator....

The new regulations include separating the banks and IBs....and keeping them out of the hedge fund and other conflicting businesses....
    ................................................................

The US will take off like a rocket with the right set of politicos....

The current selection....could not be worse....none of them can add or subtract.....They do not teach this at Harvard....

  10. with baited breathe,,,,,

most reasonable persons want the same too, and want to get back to some resembalence of meaningful work, jobs, lives and persuits.

too much time (8yrs) has been waisted on these extremists actions and such, too much time,

    just look at Wall Street,

earning reports used to be the bell that would ring in market movement,

now, it barely registers on the richter scale....

    so, most persons want change....

    its really quite frustrating
