The US government has a solution to Obesity in this country now.

  1. The solution is based on the same principal as its solution to debt.

FDA recommends a 2,000 calorie per day diet. So the government suggests you plan to eat a 3,600 calorie per day diet, BUT then cut 200 calories per day from that plan and stay on it for the next 10 years.

Does that mean after the 18th day you stop eating entirely and start vomiting instead? Or are the cuts not cumulative?

I can't remember our federal government having a viable solution to anything in decades.

See, that's not a good analogy. More like the government had planned to have everyone move up from their present 3000 calories per day to 6000 in 10 years. But thanks to drastic, immediate cuts, starting in 2013 they'll only be recommending 3500 calories per day, and 10 years from now the harshest cuts kicks in, bringing it "down" to 5000 in ten years.

You can thank your congress critter for these harsh, immediate, severe cuts.
