  1. Gnome: JMO... ANYBODY who votes for either Obama or McCain is either a self-serving "please give me something for free at the cost of somebody else, my Gummint, slacker", or a "head in the sand pussy" who shouldn't even be allowed to vote..

What about the dumb bells who voted for Bush twice. lmao

  2. Most of them if not all seem to have been bought and paid for. All we see now is the return on the investment.

Frankly, and in all seriousness we need the Bush/Chenny/Bernanke for 4 or even 8 more years. Maybe then, there will be enough pain for the public to wake up?

Wasn't there talk or a bill to rework the 22nd amendment to allow for 3 or 4 presidential terms?

  4. You got that right. When Bush and the Neocons got into power they said let the free market do its magic, cut tax rates and prosperity will trickle down on the lower and middle classes. Wrong. What the last seven years showed us is that when you let the Big Corporations run the government, the Repubs and big business screws over the middle class to a much greater extent than if the Democrats were in power.

Yes, too much socialist government is bad. But too much corporate power is worse.

Voting for McCain is like doubling down on a losing position in a stock in a confirmed downtrend.

  5. Who cares. I just got my 600 dollar rebate check. I get to download those porn sites that normally seem to be a waste of money. They're giving money out for free. Now Pelosi wants another stimulus package.

Hopefully, the whole government doesn't go democrat. I hope voters realize that democrats won congress 4 years ago and have only achieved running this country into the ground. Look at all the bullshit that has been passed through congress in the last 6 months. We need a regime change. The republicans took us to war, the democrats destroyed capitalism.

I want some sound thinking individuals to represent my thinking and the paradigm that most people I know or talk to. This government has hijacked this country. Why do we only have a choice between dumb and dumber? Where are the candidates that the American public truly desire?

Yupe, hell will freeze over before US will even come close to that.

    Too much entitlement programs.

In Hong Kong, you can't walk away from your mortgage. You bet on housing. If you lose, you eat the lost.

None of this, oh no, I don't understand I could be in this much trouble. *cry* If you don't understand mortgage terms, may be you should rent?

However, I don't think Hong Kong should have 0% estate tax.

"Uncle Sam employs over 2,704,000 workers and hires an average of 300,000 new employees each year to replace workers that transfer to other federal or private jobs, retire, or stop working for other reasons. Average annual salary of all full-time employees exceeded $67,000 as of January 2007.":
    http://federaljobs.net/overview.htm

"Currently, over 34% of the all federal employees, approximately 919,683, are eligible for retirement and within the next year 50%, 1,352,475 workers, will be eligible for regular or early retirement. When employees bid on retirement vacancies, entry level jobs are created."
"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 13 million Americans are employed in State Government.":
    http://www.50statejobs.com/gov.html

This equates to more than 15 million Americans in non-manufacturing/non-producing jobs (and it could be more than 21 million) [non-capitalistic].
    U.S. population= ~304,600,000: http://www.census.gov/main/www/popclock.html

They ALL have pensions: YOU are so generous!

Approximately 5% of the U.S. total population is non-capitalist= YOU pay their salary and pensions via taxes!
Approximately 1% of U.S. population is in prison: http://lastfreevoice.wordpress.com/2008/03/08/one-percent-of-us-adult-population-in-prison/: YOU pay for their incarceration via taxes!

Right there is 6% of TOTAL U.S. population that YOU are paying for. Now, let's break it down to just the percentage of the working man and woman... the percentage gets REALLY ugly!

  8. I don't think anyone really believes the United States is "straight capitalism"... it's far, far from it.

Sadly, it's as close to capitalism as you're going to get lately. And every day, with every bailout, and with every Barack Obama speech about how the rich are going to pay for the medical bills of the poor, America becomes more and more like Europe.

Why are we getting all the taxes of France but not the 30 hour work-weeks?
