On a balmy early Saturday summer evening, the U.S soccer team played for a prestigious championship in a U.S. stadium … and was smothered in boos.

Its fans were vastly outnumbered. Its goalkeeper was bathed in a chanted obscenity. Even its national anthem was filled with the blowing of air horns and bouncing of beach balls.

Most of these hostile visitors didn't live in another country. Most, in fact, were not visitors at all, many of them being U.S. residents whose lives are here but whose sporting souls remain elsewhere.

  2. This is a non-topic. Like college football or the recent bashing of Texas and Florida caused by the NBA finals.

Don't be naive. The fact that there are more people in an American city to turn out to support a foreign country is telling of where the illegal immigration problem has taken us.

  4. It's not a surprise, but it is still a disgrace. These are the same people who staged mob demonstrations and riots demanding US citizenship(ie welfare) while defiantly waving huge mexican flags.

Ultimately, if you're not willing to defend your country, you will lose it. I'm not opposed to legal immigration, although I think the system Ted Kennedy designed to favor poor third world immigrants should be abandoned. We need high skill immigrants from europe, asia and Israel, not more somali cab drivers. The fact is, no country in the world other than the US would tolerate a virtual invasion form a neighboring country, particularly when the invaders seem to despise the country and remain loyal to their country of birth.

While other states are pushing them out California is welcoming them.

When you hear of mexicans pushing blacks out of south central los angeles you know its a full-on invasion.

The quality of healthcare and education has plummeted in California in recent years. Los Angeles is beginning to resemble Tijuana with food trucks and street vendors hawking tamales everywhere one looks. Corrupt mexican-american politicians have taken over towns like Bell and literally stolen public money all over California. Failure to enforce the border has destroyed California and there is no taking it back.

Its the liberal left that encourages illegal immigration. Its the left that must be neutralized. Our entire southern border with mexico must be sealed and the liberal left removed from power.

Illegal aliens must be detained and deported. No hearing necessary. Businesses employing illegal aliens must lose their business license, no hearing necessary. Martial law is needed.

  6. Agreed the Kennedy immigration garbage = the nail in the coffin.

At some point it became "hate" and "racism" for a nation to put the interests of it's own country before the interests of others.

The next President and Senate has to make some tough decisions to take back this country. We are close to losing America. Illegal immigration, anti-business policies, social engineering, spreading the wealth, TSA over-reach, piting one race against another, etc. Government policy toward these issues has to be stopped and reversed.

  8. The question is if anyone that tough on the issues even able to get elected?

  10. Want to see a GOOD piece of immigration legislation go back to the Immigration Act of 24 under Coolidge.

Coolidge was a REAL small government candidate, and maybe the best in the history of the nation. He didn't know how to get to Washington when he was elected, had to get directions. When can we get some more of THAT?
