I wasn't thinking of "apples vs. rocks" intellect. But as for Bush vs. Nixon... both were HORSESHIT! They betrayed the trust Americans voted into them.... though Nixon's damage was more philosophical, while Bush's damage was more financial... "gonna pay for it lonnnnng time damage". That said, NObama has the potential (and unfortunately surely to be realized) to be worse than either of them...
You guys would be amusing if you weren't so sad. Since the start of this thread I've heard that Obama is: Socialist - no proof given, not sure you folks understand the definition of; Threats that he's worse that Bush - no proof given, his actions so far have been quite the opposite, with Gnome not be able to articulate how why; and some dope calling him a monkey... You guys are a clas act, what was the point of this post again?
Grammatically speaking, monkey modified wrench. And throwing a monkey wrench into the works is what Washington elitists pass off as a Gubmint solution. I do not revert to calling my President a monkey, I leave that to MSM whores like Erin Burnett who referred to Bush as a monkey and he didn't even have monkey ears. If I had intended to refer to Barry as a monkey, I have acquired the grammatical skills to do so and would have have said, Mr. Goodwrenchmonkey. No need to apologize for your ignorance of the grammatical nuances of the English language.
You Sir, are not a thinker, not an analyzer... just a biased NObamabot with your head up your ass... on ignore for me...
Lonewolf-- You are delusional. You wouldn't understand truth if it fell in your lap. It is YOU who doesn't understand socialism. The Gov't just came in and changed the game of capitalism--that is socialism. It's not an either or scenario, but it's the simple fact of providing funds (which it has none, the gov't is broke) to keep a bankrupt company up and running. That re-distributes risk. Profits have already been sucked out of these companies by the UAW and management and now the taxpayers pick up the burden, the risk of future losses. The company has nothing to lose, it is already bankrupt. The comparison of presidents is something we should all leave for The History Channel. The president, at the time, is only as good [bad] as the people. This is the beginning of it. The beginning of the end because it simply does not work. Socialism leaves no incentive for people to work. It's tried and tested and it has failed miserably. Obama's administration [again, read THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT OBAMA] will be sure to drive the final dagger into socialism, putting the ideals to rest only to again be seen in textbooks describing its despicable ideals.
So which one is it, is the the goodwrenchmonkey or is he a monkey wrench... grammatically speaking, I think you butchered the "nuances" of the English language. Though I can see from your post that you've analyzed the president's brief time in office, thought through the consequences... yet somehow you can't articulate your position. Gnome, you're like a child who heard or read something, adopts it as his/her own, when challenged for details or clarity resorts to ignore, that's rich. Hope you guys keep living that dream. Since politics is a lightening rod... why don't we re-focus on making money, regardless of what the president does... When I last checked, that was still legal.
Been marinating about this question... Nixon vs. Bush vs. NObama... Nixon violated the faith of the American people. Disappointing, but didn't cost us much beyond our pride. Bush violated the faith of the American people AND (1) got many American soldiers killed, and (2) charged a great expense to Americans now and for future generations... all to promote his personal agenda. (Personally, I wish I could get the chance to KICK HIM IN THE BALLS!) NObama... with his Marxist/Socialist/Commie agenda, has the pontential to damage America 10 FOLD more than even Bush did. Our children and grandchildren will come to despise us for supporting him... (well, some of YOU maybe... I didn't vote for the bastard!)
You are a quite mouthy for a poster with less than ten posts to his name. The answer to your question is neither. Mr. Goodmonkeywrench was a play on words to a former fictional character who was part of GM ad campaign a few years back before you were born. I know your computer lab time is almost over, and it is time for you to get back to completing your obviously incomplete junior high education.
GM's glory days; the Chevro...err, I mean Cadillac Cimarron: I've always sat in amazement as GM failed to bother trying for the last 30 years, but even I have to admit they've made significant progress in the last two years (it just sucks for them that we saw auto sales drop by 40% - and maybe more before the storm is over - at this particular time). Cadillac CTS (compare it to the Cimarron):
GM contributes little to the US econoy. Actually, it holds the economy back. GM should be saved only on the condition the unions are scrapped.
