You are WAAYYY wrong. True, Bush ravaged the budget for his own personal agenda... wrong, WRONG! But the damage NObama has in store for us DWARFS all of the crap Bush did...

  4. The profits were ALREADY PRIVATIZED, the taxpayers are on the hook for this bridge loan [loss]--this is THE EPITOME of socialism.

All the Obama administrations understands is throwing gasoline on the fire. You don't fight excessive debt with MORE DEBT.

There is no doubt that this is a horrible situation to be in, but, you have to let these companies fail so they can restructure.

you are arguing over 2 people who are producing the same result. bush created the scenario for the obama election. obama has taken the ball and will run with it veering the country way to the left. as the situation worsens people will become dependent on the government for their survival. this is the goal of the current administration.

I think you are mostly correct. While Bush and NObama are both "pursuing their private agenda at taxpayer expense"... Bush's damage is mostly [only?] financial and can be limited just by getting rid of his ass. NObama's damage, however, will reach further, live longer, and be much more destructive.

I must say in all honesty... I don't like where he's taking the country. I don't want to live in NOamaland... (And for those who'll pipe in, "why don't you just get the fuck out of the US if that's how you feel?"... that's exactly my intention. But wifey won't leave so long as her parents are alive... If it weren't for family considerations, I like to believe I'd already be gone.) :( :(

I'm not sure you folks understand socialism....

What the government is doing is trying to fix a very weak domestic auto sector that touches indirectly all of us. The government initially under Bush gave them a life line to make changes. The new administration says those changes aren't good enough and decided that since monies were already advanced then the government does have to to say how things progress.

Get yourself in trouble and require government assistance, the government has every right to dictate change.

Whoever said that thing Pres. Obama has in store is worse that Bush is an idiot... considering Bush got us into 2 wars, increased the budget, tortured, watered down the environmental protections and ohh by the way oversaw this depression.

And what you apparently don't realize is that what NObama has in store for us is 10 TIMES worse for the future of America, your kids, and your grandkids than any of the shit Bush pulled..

  10. Gnome, you don't have to leave, you were here first. Obama wasn't even born here.

The sonsofb*tches we beat in the American Revolution are the same group of people who are trying to take over our country now. These same people depend [have the ideals that it is] on the Gov't to redistribute wealth so they can have an opportunity.

For every dollar the gov't spends it wastes .95 because there are no free market forces to ensure that the job gets done efficiently.

People are becoming so damn sensitive in thinking that just because they are human they are entitled to something.

Until people realize the gov't can only make this situation worse it will continue to get worse. I am loading up on guns and ammo. If you have 1/2 a brain you can see the train wreck coming very soon. 50-60MM unemployed pissed off Americans.
