  1. In this case either word will do according to wikipedia....'the surface meaning and underlying meaning of what is said is not the same'

    but,hey,lot's of people misuse the word ironic. Alanis morisette has a song called ironic- the only thing ironic about it is the fact that in a song called ironic, there is not a single piece off irony

    'it's like raaain on your wedding day', no darling, that 's not ironic that is just bad luck!!
