    Yep, that is why you have to be very careful. But when spread is tight and books has some volume, you have a much better chance of lesser slippage.

  2. I now trade the dax straight from the open, i used to leave the first hour till the cash equity open. I find the very first hour is a lot thinner so you have to have you're wits about you just a tad more but there is some good money to be made especially on the first 5 minutes

  3. Below is copy and pasted off the eurex website as you can see the 12.50 shows for a 0.5 movement which is the minimum price movement but for a full fat tick (point) its 25 euros

    Contract - DAX® Futures

    Contract Value - EUR 25

    Minimum Price Change - 0.5

    Minimum Price Change Value - EUR 12.50

  4. I used to skip the 1st hour on the DAX and started when the FTSE came online. I have found lots of big moves within that 1st hour in the last say 2 months. So I said what the heck and followed the euros

    It is manual trading....but the platform is very fast and the trader try to be tooo.....
