  4. Sadly the full answer to your question would probably fill several books :).

The Dax is like any other index really, some differences, but suggest you search for other index scalping discussions.

Some people may disagree, but "reading" level 2 is a waste of time in futures, where there are no names, just total number of bids and lots of spoofing.
People claim to be able to read level 2 on stocks though.

    :)

  5. To tell you the truth, if you want to learn to trade, nobody but yourself can help you. You want to trade index futures like the DAX or YM? Nobody's gonna hold your hand in hell. If you want to get in (and out again), you have to find your own ways. Start testing now.

But since you're asking, I do recommend you read this: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...102-2277706-6785729?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

It'll give you a fair head start.

  6. If anyone has any specific ?'s about scalping the DAX, not just "How do I make money" I'll take a stab at answering them.

I haven't posted in a while I've been very busy, but if you post any questions or PM me I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can.

i don't speak english very well and i hope you understand me......:
my trading style is scalping the dax and i use divergence on macd + stochastic slow + bollinger bands divergence on 1 minute chart in order to take a trade.
i'm using ib tws with bracket trader and testing right now button trader.....it looks wonderful.....
    target 3/4 ticks
    anybody uses divergences for scalping?

  8. Take a look at divergences between the DAX and the DJ Euro STOXX 50, you can scalp it on a one min. chart and swing it on a 5. By diveregence I mean the dax makes new a high/low and the Euro Stoxx 50 doesn't confirm it.

  9. Mark:
While I respect talent and skill I have to say you need to think a bit about how you want to handle you business procedures. provocative comments in response to complaints by traders are understandable (I often feel the same way, as you can see from my own posts) however your comments are made with your company's name prominent on the post. Just now, you listed a reference to TradingMarkets, suggesting that readers can view your comments there. Problem is that once you get there, you are barred from reading the comments unless you take a subscription to the site. I gotta say, skilled or not your personal stock is declining in my estimate. You may want to consider a more mature approach, otherwise readers who have been around a while are likely to view this as self promotion adding little value to our work. Good luck, Steve46

  10. Steve:

Do you remember Mark's thread: " Velocity Trader DAX Journal".

Mark's signature didn't seem to bother anyone in those days. Why now? In fact, going by the total absense of invective sprouting from Mark's postings, I think his participation has been appreciated by many.

I prefer seeing Mark's straightforward posts over the empty pretentious crap posted by many anonymous donkeys. Let Mark sign off as he pleases.

    nononsense
