I still think trading is boring in general, don't give a s*** about "degrees" between exciting and boring. LOL
%% YES; except i dont bet[anymore/LOL] But he had a good point naming '' trading = real time experiment''
I have been trading for awhile and I think it's exciting, I don't find it boring at all. If you are like most productive people who value their limited time, you would be multi- tasking, meaning that you are doing other things, have other endeavors going on. If you're bored, it's probably because you are boring.
Yeah because that wasn't like 2-3-4 decades ago? And obviously everyone has the same opinion during their whole life. Seriously people, once you have been doing this for 10+ years I don't see how it could still be exciting, nothing is. Not brain surgery or fucking the sexiest woman of Earth. It gets tedious and that is when you diddle the 60 year old maid.
Soros started trading in the 1960s. In the early 90s he did his famous trade against the GBP where he made $1 billion on a single trade. That kind of profit on a single trade was unheard of at the time. So you think he didn't find making that $1 billion profit, even after being in this business 30 years, on a single trade exciting at all?
I don't find trading boring. I find it interesting and challenging. The markets are always the same and always different, no two days are identical. As a trader you react to what the market is doing. I no longer find the market stressful. I know exactly how I will react to what the market throws at me. But I do find the market interesting because I never know what's going to happen next.
So i guess when he could no longer compound his net worth at 30% then trading became more boring for him.
You got me. I fell into this bucket. So as a proponent of the "trading is boring" I will adjust my statement to say "trading is a lot of waiting"
