Trump, Christie, Manafort and Ailes might be cell mates with Bernie Madoff.

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie faces an official misconduct complaint stemming from the closure of lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge.

A judge signed the summons Thursday, sending the case to the Bergen County prosecutor's office, which will decide whether the case will lead to an indictment.

The Republican governor appointed the prosecutor.

Municipal Court administrative specialist Jessica Lemley says a complaint of official misconduct would mean Christie is accused of knowingly refraining from performing a duty imposed on him by law or clearly inherent in the nature of his office.

Official misconduct carries a possible sentence of five to 10 years.

A message left with Christie's spokesmen was not immediately returned.

Christie has said he did not know about the plot.

Trump Blocked Campaign’s Requests to Research His Past

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump rebuffed political aides’ requests to research his past, people familiar with the matter said, a decision that contributed to his campaign being caught unprepared for the past week’s barrage of claims he mistreated women.

Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s first campaign manager, requested that Trump submit himself to a forensic evaluation that is traditional for any public figure seeking office, according to people granted anonymity to speak freely about the campaign’s start-up days last year. Opposition research would allow Trump’s new political team to prepare for potential attacks on his candidacy.

Paul Manafort and his team made a similar request when they took over the reins after Lewandowski, who was ousted this June.

Trump declined, the people said, and the issue became a point of contention among his closest political advisers and some long-time employees at the Trump Organization. Trump spokespeople Jason Miller and Hope Hicks didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Now, Trump is fighting an onslaught of scrutiny of his behavior toward women, less than one month before voters cast final judgment on him and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Some of the scrutiny is a result of Trump’s own words, including in a 2005 video that surfaced Friday where he bragged about being able to do “anything” to women because of his fame.

Both the New York Times and People magazine reported fresh allegations Wednesday from women who say Trump touched them inappropriately, without their consent. The candidate has flatly denied all accusations, tweeting that the incidents never happened.

  4. You could go to the NYTimes and say that you saw a UFO land and that Trump came out of it and they would print it.

If you had videotape of Hillary and Bill doing lines of coke then double-teaming a 10 year old girl, they would say it was a private sexual matter that was not relevant to the campaign.

If by some miracle Trump wins I hope something is done about the media.

The idea of Freedom of Speech was probably not intended to enable the media to deny half the country a fair chance at political representation.

If the political system is this corrupt then perhaps other means are necessary and justified.

I mean, if you plan on stealing my country via fraud then you should not assume there is no consequence.

Ben Carson is close to shrieking. He talks about Judeo-Christian values, but what Trump needed was to get arrested and get help.

These women that say that for the eleven years they have known Trump (in 2016) forget that eleven years ago Trump probably went through menopause (men going through their own brand of menopause).

It is likely that he has some sort of chemical imbalance in his brain, coupled with lots of money and power, and at some point in his life the normal moral filters in most of us ruptured in him, and he started sexually abusing women. I am no expert, but it was the money and power that surfaced the problem that was probably always there. Bill Cosby is similar, but much much worse since for him it is probably pathological.

But once his testosterone levels plummeted, he is probably a normal person today in this respect, because for all practical purposes, his interest in sex is 1/10 what it used to be.
