  1. Although I am not a member for that long, I must say that this thread has accumulated the most pages and responses in the shortest time, at least as long as I have seen.

Any more controversial threads to start that make daytraders stand up and take notice ???? How about, why does Maria look like the living dead in the morning and bright eyed and bushey tailed in the afternoon ?

Super funny moment on live CNBC......Maria was taking live calls and she asks the caller what he wanted to know. The guy says......... Maria, are you a B or C cup ????? My whole office collapsed in laughter and even she smiled for a second. Her guest analyst (I dont rememebr who it was) had to stay off the screen for a bit because he cracked up too.

Moments to smile during trader hours are hard to come by.....this was a doooooozzzzzzzzeyyyyy.

  2. As I watch us heading for 9000 Dow, I wonder how all those fared who said that we "bottomed out" over the last few days....

No opinions, no opinions, no opininininions!!!

One of the hardest things to get through to new (and seasonded) traders alike....

    :)

    Said exactly right, Don!
Murphy, the technical analyst, said that many people have problems to see a trend, while his 4 year old could always tell when asked "is this line going up or down?". We think too complicated and try to anticipate- desire to control the market, I guess...

What does all this prediction mean? It means a buy signal, thats all. It all comes down to me being long, with a stop. LOL

Don, i have no idea what you are talking about, I'm still long, we haven't takin out yesterdays lows, today is just an inside day, which can be pretty normal after a big day up like yesterday.

If anyone should be gloating, it shouldn't be u.

I feel the need to explain what a swing trade and a pivot trade is for the nth time on ET, but i'll just leave it at that, and let you guys figure it out.

edit: also Don, if you haven't noticed this thread is about NDX not DOW, not the dollar, and not orange juice.

  5. The market could go up, but it might go down. Either way, you heard it here first because I RULE THE FREAKIN MARKETS!

The whole point of trading is to predict.
Why would anyone trade if they didn't think they had an idea of which way the price was going?
    Jeez! Duh!!

you'd think thats the most basic premiss upon which someone would start trading unless they are doing arbitrage.

My opinion is that people have underrated prediction because they've failed at it.

  9. yeah, saying you don't predict just isn't true. Everybody predicts even if its only for a few minutes into the future. And its too soon to say that the rally isn't going to happen. As for myself, I bought some calls very cheap yesterday and I'm not stopped out yet and I've got plenty of time left.

i have a gap up signal for tomorrow with no closure. Sometimes the opposite can happen, gap down with closure, but if it does, there will be no un-closure.

In other words, if there happened to be a gap down, the gap would immediately be closed and the market would continue up at a rapid pace.

If the market gaps up, it will not come back down to todays close.

Either way, this signal is bullish.

ps. whenever i say market, i mean NDX.
