Your problem is not your passion or desire to succeed. No one can question that you are motivated. But your problem is you are a LOAD MOUTH ASSHOLE. You shoot your mouth off saying how great you are and how NO ONE can compete with your ideas and methods. Successful people in this business know just how quickly things can change and are always working to improve themselves and they never get too high or too low. You have soooo much to learn in these respects. When you reply to my posts, know that I am not questioning whether or not you CAN reach your goals someday, but your attitude is what is making everyone bash you. If you cant see that, then you, my friend, are very blind.
Pls. leave foolweb alone. He is the most successful papertrading stud I have ever come across. And truly a legend in his own mind.
Hello Steve, My trading has nothing to do with my motivation, my motivation only lets me push through obstacles. It seems you want everybody to be just like you, nice and humble, I come from a business background, Nobody successful in business is very humble inside, they may be humble on the outside sometimes, but usually they are like KING KONG, Nobody has any shit on them. Have you seen paul allen talk about google? Have you seen trump talk about his competitors? Have you seen real million dollar traders talk about how good they are? Thats how you really succeed in real life, By Knowing you are king kong. Thats how I Succeed in life. As Trump would say, Show me a man with out ego, and I'll show you a big loser. Ego + action = Deadly. IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW: You might have to be humble to trade well, but I Don't, I use tradestation its automated, I can yell out :
I AM SUPERMAN
600 times a day and it still won't effect my trading. You have to focus , any yelling out will probably set you back a few k. As long as I'm motivated (I am king kong and nobodys got shits on me) and keep on cranking out good edges and trading innovations, I'll be raking it in hand over fist. Of course I know nobody likes this board persona, the thing is I don't care Because it doesn't effect my trading at all. I just push it to the extreme to stir shit up for kicks. Everybody just sucks it in like they know me when All I'm doing is playing games on this board. I don't even message people I want to know better with this nick. The thing I love about this board is competition, Hell if someone would stand up and compete with me @ my trading level, I'd go head on with him I'd give him 2:1 odds to tell him I'd kick his ass in trading next month. Yes I know, you still hate me, It doesn't matter, its all about $$$ at the end of the day. I'm going to get a lot of it and have a good time doing it.
"Show me a man with out ego, and I'll show you a big loser." I love that quote CW. The difference between the winners and losers is CONFIDENCE in yourself. This is CW's journals so why are all of you guys littering it with BS ? Does he go in your journal and post crap? If you don't like his style, attitude, or whatever else, then stay the hell out of his journal.
I'm not here to pick another fight and have you add me to your s*** list. I might not even know that much about trading, but I just want to say that I do know quite a bit about businesses and business men and women and I can say without any hesitation that your comment is totally off base. The most successful people I personally know are exceedingly collected, calm, and humble. There's nothing wrong with having a well balanced sense of confidence and many even some pride. However, the lack of humility almost always brings down even the most successful.
I agree with with volente's post. In addition there is a lot of work/study which is required in trading why spend your time arguing or wasting energy in a negative manner. ozz P.S People need to be more tolerant of others.
Agree about ego, very few become successful without it. It should be clear to anyone that reads my posts that I also have a healthy dose of it. The point is that there are newbs reading this journal and coolwhip even dispenses advice to them. Given the fact that he doesn't know shit about trading and that a newb who patterned his trading style after coolwhip's would go broke, I think it's fine to come on here and post to that effect. My own posts here were unnecessarily personal, because coolio is a moron and I don't suffer fools gladly. I don't consider cool's idiotic 'I am superman' and 'I have the fastest car and the most beautiful women' boasting to be a sign of healthy ego. You mentioned confidence; in my view, cool's posts show the exact opposite - a huge self-esteem problem. I say this because most of the people I have met who rant and rave and froth at the mouth like coolie-dork does are suffering from that kind of problem. I decided not to post here anymore because a) my comments were too personal but also b) I started to suspect that we may be dealing with someone with bipolar disorder who is in a manic phase. All the signs are there. If this is the case, he needs help and not my comments Also, murdog's comment's are spot on. Among the ranks of the successful, calm, considerate people outnumber moronic penis-envy types like cooldip by a long shot.
I suggest you read the very first post in this thread. He laid it all out from day 1. He tells you everything about his background, his style, risk management etc. The superman comment was an analogy. I don't recall reading about fast cars and women from him. I think if anything he likes toying with you guys because you keep setting yourself up for him to. Being a trader is a boring job, and perhaps you are part of his game to kill time.
OMG, you obviously have not read through this entire journal. As a matter of fact, I have posted many times here about how great his first post was and how he had the right attitude from the get go. His attitutde quickly turned south and he has made some outlandish claims and comments since. Do yourself a favor, read through this thread and then tell me if you still feel the same way about Coolweb.
Huh?? An analogy? I don't understand what you mean. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=analogy If you don't recall reading about fast cars and women from him it is either because you have not read the thread or that your memory isn't great. I suspect the former. His risk management? volente, I suggest you read the thread from the beginning all the way through. You have always struck me as a reasonable poster but you are in the wrong fight. His risk management is 'I am in and I am staying in, who cares, it's house money, I don't give a shit'. Those are his words, not mine. If you don't believe that he actually said this, check the thread. Does that statement reflect a considered risk management approach to you? His style? His style has changed 10 times since the thread started and it recently started changing within 1 post!! Anyway, I just had to respond to your post about ego and confidence. I made it clear that my attacks on cool-dip crossed the line into the personal. I absolutely will not post on this thread again, even when cool-bonk comes on and starts beating his chest. I suggest that anyone interested in learning about trading should avoid using coolwhip as an exemplar
