  1. Are we in alice in the wonderlands where everybody is so nice and smells like roses?

Got to love them christian bible hugging ethical traders.

I want to be dorothy in the wizards of oz, she was always nice to everybody,

You know what, I'm going to try to emulate gandhi while I trade, Let the market maker slap me in my face while I turn the other cheek, always be nice to the trader sitting next to you, make love with the hedge fund owning your ass.

    :D

  4. Coolwhip, I thought that all you had was a gambling problem, but now I think you also have a delusional condition as well. The more and more you post, the worse your condition gets.

By the way, how can you build a fortune working part time at Burger King? Even though you've been promoted to drive through window guy, I still dont think that pays more than $7.50 an hour. Good luck with it all though.

Straight from the horse's mouth. Enough said.

    BTW:

    "adverse" = averse
    "themselfs" = themselves

Since you're making squat trading, you might consider suing your public school system.

  6. Hi,
I think my path is not the same path as your path in life
for better or worse? I am not sure if I will pursue the trading game for a living or not? I will reflect on it and learn some more
    and see how it goes.

I think your a type A person and really driven to succeed, I
think if you can find a good system and stick with it you will do
very well. But from your answer it seems that you may attempt
to over reach someday and bust something, maybe your bank
account in bad trades or a blood vessel from over stress and
too many bad meals & unhealthy lifestyle. Maybe there is more
than one way to win in this life? The work I want is to enjoy the
day and feel like I have done something worthwhile, of course such work is hard to come by.

I would like to add something to the disscussion since I know
nothing about trading I will say a little about health.

I think of health like this.

One, eat healthy, this subject alone could fill a room full of books
and everyone has a different opinion. Just be aware that your
diet can always inprove to be more healthy, the more healthy
you are the better your mind works, the less sleep you need
    and so on.

Me, my diet is almost vegan, with a little fish, juicing etc.

Two, exericise, in my opinion you need about a hour of exericise
a day, you get out what you put in. You should do this about
5 times a week, any type of exericise that you consider fun is OK. Isuggest changing exericises at times. I suggest having a hobbie
that depends on being in good physical condition. On of my favorite activitiies over the years has been mountain climbing, this
hobby has inspried me to stay in shape and has made life interesting in itself.

Lately, I have been swiming and playing basketball, in the
past been hill walking(the steeper the better) and rock climbing.

Three, Mental happyness, this deals with stress, friends and
work. Simply you need a positive mental outlook, a work that
you enjoy and friends that help you enjoy life.

Recently, I have started a relationship with a person who is
like me. Our life together has been doing very well. I have
some stresses with her family and at work but overall my mental
happyness has been improving. Lately I have been exploring
how to better intergrate work with my health and happyness.
As we all know the more money you have the more you can
do that is interesting and fun.

Of the three keys of health often the third key is the hardest
to get control over of. Each of the three you can always learn
more about and improve on. Note that there are a lot of sources
out there on diet that act like they are experts but in reality they
are not. There is a lot of false information. In short if you want to
drink coffie and think it is healthy, there are sources who
    will say so for you.

I hope this can be helpful for you if someday you current path
turns out not to be full filling for you.

Me, well I think trading may not be for me. I will explore it some
more. All these posts are helpfull. I must say the most helpful
posts are the ones about personal experience. If a person messes up and loses money and posts it I think it is a good
learning experience for the rest of us. If someone is negitive without stating a personal exeperience that is not so helpful.

    Good Day

    Here's my non-bias opinion.

If you talk the talk then you should walk the walk, which would require some sort of proof of performance.

In regards to the comments regarding ego. I believe that an oversized ego/i am god attitude can get in the way of someone's trading, especially if they do not have the experience and know how to keep things in check. This was one of the reasons I blew out.

I have no problems with people who boast or who are confident. The only thing I worry about is whether or not it will affect your performance. If you can have this attitude and get away with it than kudos to you (this is a general comment).

Good luck everyone and be civil.

  8. Ozzy you said you blew out? Was this due to your ego causing
    mistakes?

Barli, I do have a active interest in theory of all types, I love
theory, so maybe this interest can be actvated in the trading
    game?

Of course the focus of theory is finding a edge. This takes

1, Information the more special the better.

2, a new and better and novel way of looking at the information.

3, finding a profitable way of using the information.

For me as a theory person, just grinding away in front of
a screen day after day would be un interesting. Of course everyone would want to find the three points I named above.

I made large sums of many at a very past pace. I became over confident, stopped caring about money etc. I lost 200K in a few weeks and it didn't really bother me. Stuff like that.

There were many other factors involved as well. But making large sums of money made me soft. Something that I will never let happen again.

    ozz

P.S I'm really suffering financially now. But in a way its good for me. Its teaching me alot about the value of money as well as many other things. I feel more grounded nowadays.

  10. This thread is a fine example of just that. The shit is certainly in full evidence thanks to your unwavering, unrelenting and herculean effort. If your above noted equation holds, then the millions will undoubtedly follow.
