The treacherous path to $200k a year

  1. Things I have in mind,

The Martingale system is very interesting espically in position size.

For ever test at price , Martignale up.

if Lower support, Martignale 4x up.

Maybe that will differentiate the whalers from the players.

I believe so, I have much more ideas, hmm...

  2. I don't know it all, but I do know a lot and it excites me how much I can still learn from the stronger players.

I have no question I will make $200k and beyond.

    I guess I 'm not looking for $200k,

$200k is just a number to me, Really I'm looking for $100k a month,

With that kind of number, one has to know how far he has to push ,

    Thats $3k a day , Theres 21 trading days a month.

    Thats $5k a day.

So if you set this kind of number, you need to know what kind of percentage you can crank out from the market to work $5k a day to know what kind of capital you want to be working with.

    @ 5-7% a month thats around 2M in capital,

Thats around 60,000 shares to be pushed in the market.

Divided by 5 positions thats around 12,000 shares to be pushed into the market.

I guess moving 12,000 shares isn't easy the way I trade unless its a large liquid cap which just does not move.

Where it would either make me scale in twice.

    ...

  5. Well, I guess what I am asking is if you are on pace for the 200k year? I am up close to 70k, dont think I will hit 200k this year :).

  7. After a quick browse through this thread its clear that Coolweb is NOT making money as he claims to.

His posts clearly indicate an immature man whom is frustrated at how hard it is to make money as a day trader and he probally stopped trading into his 2nd week.

  8. Steve,
That is a fine accomplishment , as I have been daytrading for quite some time this year to learn more about price action, I do know how much effort is required to make good money in daytrading.

I'll send you a msg tomorrow, and we can talk about whatever.
Discussing money methods on a forum is something I do not do as well.

I have much love for the haters, I love them so much I'd like to see them run in an endless circle in confusion.

  9. Dreaming in your mind that some poster called coolweb on elitetrader doesn't make any money sure makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it?

Boosts up that low self esteem of yours doesn't it?

    LOL

  10. I see you get your quotes from comic strips. That quote comes from Dilbert. The Dogbert character uses it quite a bit.
