Well of course, you can only scale down so low until your at 1 millisecond charts and that's stupid. And its not a matter of "accepting" anything, read Mandelbrot, this is old news man.
Okay, you convinced me. Please spend whatever time is necessary to design and test a profitable trading strategy and then share it with me in all its glorious detail. Oh, we'll have such fun!
My edge is a set of indicators on 1 minute chart on the NQ. They generate buy/sell signal the moment the bar finalizes, at the same time updates the SL for any ongoing trades. There are few enough people in the world using it the same way I do to make it still effective. I know this because the volume of most of entry bars are no more than the average. You can imagine if this number reaches few thousands, any entry point will immediately be overcrowded because everyone with the same signal will jump in at the same time. Guard your edge at all costs.
Lmao. hey guys im playing poker. now look im holding an ace king ok! now lets bet omg bahahhah my edge was just posted on the internet..bahahha my edge is a 1 minute chart..with indicators that arw drawn off of the 1 minute chart..bahahhah. so my indicators are drawn from my 1 min chart..lmfao..some edge..more like the edge of a Katana that will cut you!!
Unless you are flipping 10 thousand contracts at any given time at a price point, I don't think anyone gives a shit about what you are doing. And I cannot recall a time where I saw a 10K lot resting order on the NQ order book. Granted, I do not look at it much, but...Seriously? Isn't your stuff just lost in the noise of the MILLIONS or orders that get entered and then cancelled on any given day in NQ?
You dont have an edge. You've been paper trading for 4 months, and haven't taken your strategy live yet.
I am sorry, I wish I can delete the post. I have no right to speak here among seasoned traders. wiesman02 is right. Thanks for the the discussion. It's been an interesting read.
What did I convince you of? My objective isn't to convince anyone of anything lol, I'm just simply curious of this concept. Since "edge" is such a loosely vague important term us traders throw around on these forums, I thought of edge diminishing when more people trade a certain strategy and it becomes fully arbed.
