the term, Commodity Dollars for the AUD & CAD...in that..they....track Oil and Gold...anyone ever hear this term?...read it in an article today...please chime in...

 

they are commodity producer countries. the exporters get paid in dollars and tend to buy the home currency with their revenues. this tends to appreciate them, so commodity prices tend to correlate with commodity 'currencies'
