i am continuing to ride the largest up wave of my marketsurfing career. holding all longs over the weekend. still calculating the next channel figures--the violent up move is smashing all previous channels, causing some difficulty in determining next close levels. there is more at work in the market at this time than meets the eye long, surfer
if you look at the ramp off the oct low it looks very similar on the dow daily. it went straight up to 8500 range before it consolidated.
Good job surfer, I got out on day three of this 8 day rally. I am patiently waiting a chance to ride the slide back down. I am thinking early next week. 300 more points at best.
awesome trading dave - like the best week in 20 years and marketsurfer in the curl! BTW, love my t-shirts. ill have to wear them in your honor tomorrow!
Remember the saying, you can be a bull in the market. You can be a bear in the market, but you can't be a pig in the market.
if the futures are any indication, there seems to be a little nervousness creeping back into the US equity markets. as you know, we are holding our longs into the open. they are substantially in profit, therefore the positions can withstand some fluctuation here for a shot at further upside. my exit will be discretionary ( should it come to that ) but i will try to advise asap here and potentially real time in the chat. staying LONG here. best, surfer
thanks for the kind words ! waiting and seeing what i will do here at the pull back. long for now. best, surfer
trendy... prophetic comments... (not referring to anyone in particular... but rather how you gotta grab it somewhat quicker nowadays so it seems). I took home a LOT of shorts... and got lucky! Just thought it was overdone on Friday... and there would be lots of angry people wanting to step on this market.. plus where is there any good news to support same. And as I said Friday on the "Todd Harrison is writing again" thread... I felt we were real close to a short opportunity... but the 920 SPX 200 day was looming out there and so I expected some heat today. I am still looking for April to be down. To put it in perspective... I'd rather be lucky than smart in this market, lately! Now... do the gaps fill... ??! Iceman
