here's some good analysis of IBKR <embed width=480 height=380 pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="vidembed" bgcolor="#ffffff" salign="tl" quality="high" src="http://blip.tv/scripts/flash/flvplayer.swf?file=http://blip.tv/file/get/Vlogolution-WhatsInteractiveBrokersReallyWorthWatchIPOIBKRsFirstDay223.flv" /> enjoy, surf
thanks. the platform links directly with IB and there's IB on the screens. makes sense to me. there's nothing better for the retail trader on the market. surf
well, i was early on this dip, missing it completely. my screens are off, i can't watch,( just kidding)--- as my positons would be rocketing into profits. i keep going over and over again--- if i just went in a little smaller, or if i just had held one more day--- VICTORY---instead of another loser. there is often a very fine line between victory and defeat in this game--either timing wise or money wise--- sometimes one catches it right, other times one doesn't. its all part of the challenge. going to give it some more time, than be back. best, surf
Thanks for the info Surf. Oh yeah, don't bother with Steve46' rantings anymore. The guy is following me around to other threads and trying to trash talk (yep, maturity of a 14-year-old), very poor form for someone who supposedly is an established professional (LMAO, at least I've never pretended to be anything other than a retail trader ). BTW, do you ever recollect him making a live call, or stating the results of any trade, except after the fact? Yeah, I thought so . Good trading, Jimmy Jam
One thing I've noticed is that you use tight stops now, whereas previously you didn't and would allow a position to go against your original entry for a much larger amount of pts, only to end-up in the green as the trade eventually went your way. Along with that observation, you also used to scale-into your trades much more adroitly, allocating X amount of dollars per entry. Now you're doing this all-in thing, and ya know, that just doesn't work when you are taking counter-trend trades. If you revisit some of your more successful trades you will see what I mean, considering the overnight performance bond requirements of the YM contract, I am sure this technique is doable. Good trading, Jimmy Jam
